In a vampire normative future, where governments control and restrict gender affirming medicines, becoming one of the changeless undead seems a pretty good option. The narrative looks a lot at freedom and asks what that looks like in a world where corporations and governments fight over power.
Special shout out to the authors who return years later to worlds beloved by their readers. Currently reading Dark Sun by @melissamarrwriting.bsky.social and I’m absolutely loving the mature direction she’s taken this installment in. Already can’t wait for Moonlit Stars!!
Last but certainly not least! My contributor copy of the @starsandsabers.bsky.social anthology OF DREAD, DECAY, AND DOOM has arrived. I’m beyond excited to see everyone else’s stories as well as to share my own!
The launch party for @starsandsabers.bsky.social's OF DREAD, DECAY, AND DOOM was today and I am delighted to share a bit of the excitement over here! I very much hope that people enjoy my gothic fusion of Dracula and The Raven, and also can't wait to read everyone else's stories when it gets here!
It's a Big News Day because I also officially just got on boarded as a reader for the revolutionary @radonjournal.bsky.social Submissions are accepted year-round with Issue 13 about to release on 1 June 2026. The wrap around cover for this edition is a thing of beauty! www.radonjournal.com/submit
I also want to shout out to @redscribe.bsky.social, whose truly amazing Australia based, debut novella, Grief Eater, earned a mention in the same article! @interstellarflight.bsky.social
Delighted to highlight this section of the below @reactorsff.bsky.social article with the two @starsandsabers.bsky.social anthologies I just happen to be in 🥰 Omniboz is out now. Of Dread, Decay, and Doom in June!
As old as this makes me feel, I really do gotta share the cover.
Look, it’s here, it’s beautiful!! 😍 Thanks as always to @starsandsabers.bsky.social for letting me be a part of this anthology.
It is with very deep pleasure that I share my first Publisher's Marketplace book deal announcement. Submissions for The Monstrous & the Divine are open through to 31 July 2026: www.scyllapublishing.com/anthology
Today, in reasons why I believe someone should option my feminist retelling of #Helen🏺 (now #TroyandSparta) 😅
I, for one, am delighted by how much new Caroline Bingley content I am set to enjoy in the year of our lord 2026 😍
It's been a week since this was shared with @scyllapublishing.bsky.social newsletter subscribers. I also wanted to share my #MSWL for The Monstrous and the Divine here. Remember we're open to questions if you're unsure your manuscript will fit our guidelines: www.scyllapublishing.com/anthology
What do you mean DIVINATION and TRANSMUTATION by S. T. Gibson have been announced? My favourite polyamorous duology isn’t turning into a trilogy, but a *quartet*?! This is a great news morning!!
New image has dropped that’s inspired ideas for what I’m hoping to see in The Monstrous and the Divine submission slush pile 😍 www.instagram.com/p/CTX5BZOBs_...
NEITHER OLDER NOR LARGER appears in Omniboz: Tales from the Land of Oz. I remember reaching out to Jendia while the submission window was open and almost talking myself out of writing this piece because a gender diverse Ozma might have already been covered by one of the early announced authors.
I see your cats and cackles, and raise you 1x cat, 1x dog and many cackles ❤️ Have a beautiful #caturday!
Not me mocking up my upcoming #MSWL and cackling to myself with delight.
Fun conversation had with the team at @scyllapublishing.bsky.social earlier in the week sited that goddesses often being more vicious and monstrous than those labeled monsters! I cannot put it more plainly than that the energy we will be looking for when subs open on 1st May 2026 is this:
They’re here!! Well, they were here a week ago apparently while I was away. Thank you to @jendiagammon.bsky.social and the whole team at @starsandsabers.bsky.social!! Look, how pretty it is!! 🥰
I've been working hard with @scyllapublishing.bsky.social and we're delighted to announce our title for the upcoming submission call for the sapphic goddesses and monsters anthology you've all been waiting for!! 🥳👏🎉 Please do share & comment if you were initially interested in this pitch.
I see a lot of you newly liking the above post and, Yes! This is the sapphic anthology pitch that has officially been picked up by @scyllapublishing.bsky.social Anthology title reveal and submission call to come April 14th. I couldn’t be more excited by this collaboration!
Hello I am here for this! Although I don't know of any comps for *entirely* queerplatonic polycule, I do know both If it Makes You Happy by asexual author Claire Kann, and also Their Troublesome Crush by stone author Xan West.
Been stuck on this chilling moment after equally difficult interactions during Dana’s time travel to Maryland in the early 1800s. Reminding myself that persistence is a strong takeaway message in Octavia‘s work as I open the book to continue.
In 2018, @foxbones.bsky.social surprised me with a gift of a book called Becoming Dangerous. Within its pages was an essay by J. A. Micheline that I think about often, and have done across the eight years since. (This is the power of the written word.)
For no reason, I’ve woken up so tired it’s hard to be upbeat. But this little one is helping. As is the truly lovely story I’m currently editing. 🙏
