im'not blender shavy either, i'm just starting to get into rendering stuff because i'm more in the area of weight painting/armature and shapekeys. turning transparent shadows on aliviated the issue, but still not the same as in viewport for some reason. learning something!
it was just venting, but thank you! issue is a visual glitch(?) that occurrs when cycles is enabled. on the viewport material (top) it looks fine but when switching to on viewport render (bot) it causes that around the nipples and me and friend have n clue what it causes on my end, unlike his.
