I recognize that some bikes are faster than legal and sometimes driving where they shouldn’t but I feel more unsafe when cars race past me doing 50% over the speed limit or they recklessly pass cyclists, or quite frankly when vehicles crash into people or buildings #carintobuilding #Toronto

I got so excited in #Europe recently when I excitedly viewed fire trucks of a reasonable size. These are trucks I saw in Prague and in Germany. 😁

It is 32 km/h in or 20mph. However some seem much faster so I suspect that the speed limiter is being overridden on some devices. Most of the share bikes are not e-bikes in #Toronto. I recognize your concern about helmet laws and rentals. I often wonder about making collapsible helmets available.

The similarities to Toronto, although few included danger crossing the street, excess vehicle noise, a distain for cyclists, and gradually increasing homelessness. Some areas were much quieter than others. That noted, the architecture, street design, history and significance are fantastic. 3/3

It was shocking to me how car centric it is. The exhaust that eats the buildings. The weight that damages the roads and even the cobblestone sidewalks sometimes used for parking. It was surprising to see a display of vintage sports cars, mainly Mustangs today. Also quite a few Motorcycles. 🤷‍♀️ 2/3

You’ll love it I was told when I mentioned I would visit Prague. An amazing historical city mostly intact after World War II, its architectural history is incredible. A far cry from #Toronto, I was certain. 1/3

Took a day trip to Helsinki and was captivated by the peace and liability of the city. While it may be northern and cold, it is car-light and has wonderful history, architecture, transit, and places to spend time and socialize including saunas.

Ohh where was that? I saw a bus like that yesterday in Riga, Latvia and I swooned 😍
