There are a few possibilities out there, looks like.

My best wishes to those who gather together to grill & hang out today. Stay cool & consider this cake decorated to resemble a hamburger.

A display at my local Food Lion—a cake under a plastic cover. It is a two-layer yellow cake decorated to resemble a hamburger. The top & sides are not frosted, although the top has tiny dribbles of white icing, pretending to be sesame seeds. Between the two layers is a thick layer of chocolate ganache cosplaying as a burger, further decorated with red and yellow buttercream “ketchup” and “mustard” and frills of green buttercream “lettuce”.
They had cupcake “sliders” as well.

I think I originally got this from some US Navy training material. It’s an easy-to use guideline for determining how well hydrated you are, by looking at your urine. And if you haven’t peed lately, you’re dehydrated.

Dehydration Urine Color Chart
The following Dehydration Urine Color Chart will help you use your urine color as an indicator of your level of dehydration and what actions you should take to help return your body back to a normal level of hydration.

(Pale yellow)
Doing ok. You're probably well hydrated.
Drink water as normal.

(Yellow)
You're just fine. You could stand to drink a little water now, maybe a small glass of water.

(Dark yellow)
Drink about 1/2 bottle of water (1/4 liter) within the hour, or drink a whole bottle (1/2 liter) of water if you're outside and/or sweating.

(Amber)
Drink about 1/2 bottle of water (1/4 liter) right now, or drink a whole bottle (1/2 liter) of water if you're outside and/or sweating.

(Caramel color)
Drink 2 bottles of water right now (1 liter).
If your urine is darker than this and/or red or brown, then dehydration may not be your problem. See a doctor.

The Old County Courthouse in Nashville is in that Stripped Federal style as well, although the decorations, including the frieze of animal heads takes the edge off a bit.

That would be bad. Besides every other transit-related item that got federal funding, there are, what, 6 interstate highways in the state. No more funding for those! State law might also prohibit pedestrians, bicycles & ebikes on state limited-access highways (like the New Jersey Turnpike).

There are urine color charts available in lots of places on the internet. Here’s one from the US Navy, with suggestions about how much water to drink, with the amounts keyed to urine color. (If you’re not urinating, drink water now. If you hate the taste of water, try any non-alcoholic liquid.) 2/2

Yeah, we’re storm neighbors.

I feel that Goode Doges should be dressed in Doge’s robes, to include the little brocade cap, but that’s not something my photoshop capabilities can achieve. Any good doge deserves these in the wardrobe!

There are 6 Jets players in their box and at least 6 Predators players in theirs. Along with the box officials, this makes things a bit crowded; some of the players appear to be sitting on the floor. Every man jack, including the box officials, is watching the penalty clock.

Nashville was ahead 5-0 when the fight started early in the third period, and won 7-0.

The fundraising & donations she made to people affected by the 2016 fires in the Smoky Mountains, through the My People Fund, made a difference too. From the Wikipedia article on the 2016 Great Smoky Mountains Wildfires and surprising no one:

The impact of the "My People Fund"'s financial relief, as well as the overall impacts of the disaster on residents, was studied by University of Tennessee College of Social Work professor Stacia West, who examined the impact of cash transfers in poverty alleviation. West surveyed 100 recipients of the emergency relief funds in April 2017 on topics including questions on housing, financial impact, physical and emotional health, and sources of support, with a follow-up survey conducted in December 2017.
West found that the "My People Fund," in tandem with traditional disaster response, gave families the ability to make decisions that were most beneficial to them, and concluded that unconditional cash support may be more beneficial for disaster relief than conditional financial support. The report cited the impact of the monthly financial disbursements from the "My People Fund" on residents' emergency savings: "Following the monthly disbursements of unconditional cash assistance, participants were able to return to baseline financial stability reported prior to the wildfire, and improve their ability to set aside savings for hypothetical future emergencies."

The first image is from 1AM; the second one shows what it’s like now. It’s been a nasty weather system—tornadoes, high winds, huge rainfall in some areas.

“Oxblood” as a term makes me think of those old-school penny loafers, in that dark red-brown cordovan (also called “oxblood” if you were shopping for shoe polish). And the shade is kind of close to that. It’s a nice warm brown color.

There was a general epidemic in the lower Mississippi Valley, which the book covers briefly, as its principal subject is the epidemic and its effects in Memphis.

A biography of William Gorgas, chief sanitary officer of the Panama Canal project. He applied the research work of the Cuban physician Carlos Finlay & US Army doctor Walter Reed, showing a connection between the Aedes aegypti mosquito and yellow fever, to efforts to control the disease, which was one of the major obstacles to the construction of the canal—it had helped derail the earlier French canal project.
