@cnrs.bsky.social researcher at @IGFLyon.bsky.social, working on #microbiota #physiology #nutrition #intestine. I like the gut, beer, metal and rugby.
Look at Fig. 3. The same taxa reported as ↑, ↓, or “no change” across autism–microbiome papers. If you can call all of that “dysbiosis”, you do not have a disease signature. You have noise with good PR.
@mads100tist.bsky.social you will love this one. “Hey, give all your ideas to Springer-Nature, we’re totally cool with that. We already did it when we bought Research Squire and protocols.io but hey, keep feeding us please!”
#ProudPI 🎓 Thrilled to share that @ameliejoly.bsky.social received the thesis prize of the @sneuroendo.bsky.social, huge congratulations! 👏 And @lucasrebiffe.bsky.social is presenting the follow-up of the project in a great poster. Exciting to see the team’s work shining! 💪 #SNE25

We then identified a key mediator: FGF21, a liver-derived hormone. Under protein restriction, it rises in both sexes, but only delays growth and puberty in females.
Males entered puberty on time, despite stunting. Females, in contrast, showed delayed vaginal opening and estrus onset. Same stress, different developmental trajectories. The timing of puberty is more sensitive in females.
Males: severe and persistent stunting. Females: transient early impairment, but mostly recovered by adolescence. Same diet, different outcomes. The biological response to protein restriction is profoundly sex-specific.
I really wonder how in 2025, with the tons of computational tools we have, the non-parametric fits like LOESS and GAM, the possibility to plot residuals, etc. we can still see regressions like panels c and d, and assume that this is biologically meaningful just because p<0.05.
#ProudPI Once again @lucasrebiffe.bsky.social did an incredible presentation at the CECED yearly meeting and got the best presentation award. Incredibly proud of such a talented PhD candidate!
Not sure that “cum probability” for a paper about female reproduction is the best abbreviation 😅 (Besides that the paper is absolutely awesome) www.cell.com/neuron/abstr...
I was feeling skeptical about a setlist which was 90% of the three latest albums. Feeling they they were not as heavy as they used to be. Boy, was I wrong! That was absolutely insane. Best concert of 2025 so far. #Architects
Le Point, c’était pas ceux qui avaient demandé la parole d’expert à un certain Didier Raoult pour dédouaner Assad des crimes qu’il commettait? Ou peut-être c’est Wikipedia, je ne sais plus.
After 4+ amazing years, it’s time to say goodbye to @ameliejoly.bsky.social. You’ve been an inspiring scientist and an incredible colleague. Wishing you all the best for your postdoc with @irenemiguel-aliaga.bsky.social. The lab won’t be the same without you!
How can you be a metalhead and be happy at this? Come on, this has really become Disneyland.
