Finding Dee Fish

FINDING DEE is the semi-autobiographical look at the ins and outs of coming out as a middle-aged, transgender cartoonist just trying to make it in comics, find a little success, and a safe place to PEE! findingdee.com
Heidi is, and remains, a loving wackadoo, and I adore her for it. Plus, I DO boop her tongue when she yawns, so I'm not innocent here. lol patreon.com/bigpondcomics
Meet ME and dozens of other AMAZING cartoonists who will be selling comics, making drawings, and talking shop at the AMAZING Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum on Saturday, August 8th! It's going to be an AMAZING experience! nationalcartoonists.com/ncs-cartooni...
Happy Werewolf Wednesday! The Eyes of Luna are coming! When a young woman’s transformation ignites a chain of murder and terror, Claire finds herself caught in a deadly mystery that threatens to unravel everything she’s learned about being a werewolf. Coming soon at www.havenwolf.com
Usually, when in doubt and action figures aren't helping, I'll pose in front of a camera and do it myself. In VERY rare instances, I'll ask Heidi for help, but not often. (Yes, I know about the 3D posers in Clip Studio, etc., and I don't like them. lol)
"If there is one thing the history of evolution has taught us, it's that life will not be contained. Life breaks free, it expands to new territories, and crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but, uh... well, there it is." Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park
Happy 44th birthday to TRON! It remains one of my all-time favoritest movies, released on July 9th, 1982!!! End of line.
WOOT! My postcards for the NCS Cartoonists Showcase at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum in Columbus, Ohio, on August 8th, have ARRIVED! I'll have a whole stack of these to sketch on for folks all day, so you totally need to be there!!!
Hey, do you like FUNNY, sometimes-touching, occasionally raw, slice-of-life, LGBTQIA+ comic strips drawn with the manic energy of a Bugs Bunny Cartoon mixed with Charlie Brown-levels of anxiety!? You can help make the funny happen by becoming a backer at: www.patreon.com/bigpondcomics
I never go into a public restroom without a mental plan, with my spidey sense cranked up to max sensitivity. That said, I have not had to deal with "panic mode" anxiety for several years now. Exposure therapy may not be FUN, but it is effective over time. lol
Show your pride YEAR ROUND by becoming a Finding Dee backer on PATREON! Supporters can get NEW strips a week early, exclusive sketches, behind-the-scenes art, drawing videos, and MORE! Join at Patreon.com/bigpondcomics
it's not a plot hole, people. IT'S THERE! I WILL DIE ON THIS H̶I̶L̶L̶ LAND BRIDGE!
Meh. It's kinda like celebrating the birthday of a celebrity you loved as a kid until you grew up and learned how effed up they were as a person. Also, that celebrity has been dead for years.
I tend to fluctuate between jeans and t-shirts, (often with a plaid overtop) & those sun-dresses with little tops because I hate my shoulders. In the winter, I am the sweater queen. But a lot of my fashion comes back to "what will get me less dirty glares from assholes?"
When I have pee dreams, the toilet’s usually in the street with absurdly low stall walls—but I left them out here so you could clearly see the toilet (for shark reasons). Also, leg cramps are still one of the WORST ways to be woken up.
Steve Mellor might have crafted the greatest single panel of any comic EVER!!!
Anyone who works alone for LONG stretches without having to talk to anyone should be VERY familiar with this concept. Clearly, this is very applicable for my fellow cartoonists, designers, writers, general introverts, etc. lol
Sometimes, schruchies slip loose in the night. As do sleep caps and every other means of keeping my hair out of my mouth. Okay, if I BRAIDED it, it would probably keep, but I can't sleep on those. I have deep "Princess and the Pea" syndrome. lol
With Disney Ducks on the brain, I figured I'd repost some of my Scrooge McDuck pieces from the last few years. Hope you like 'em. :)
Happy 75th birthday to the writer and artist of MANY of my favorite Duck stories, such as the MASTERPIECE that is the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, Don Rosa! And yes, this book is in my top 5 of all graphic novels, period. It is so good!!!
Mewsikeen DROOLING on me when I pet her is not a NEW thing... nor is she the first cat I've had to do so with me... but for the sake of comedy, IMAGINE I've never seen it before. lol
When a picture circulating as a meme gives you an idea for a random doodle... you MUST DOODLE THE DOODLE!
