Today we’ve been thinking about the parables of mustard seeds and yeast. At Martham we started making bread in the family service (which Revd Debs left in the oven a bit too long after church). No star baker awards for her and this loaf but thank you to everyone who joined in!

If you’re free this afternoon you might enjoy popping along to St Mary West Somerton for our third Open House Cafe event. Today,2.30 pm to 5 pm we’re building a small organ.

The late John Finnie’s paper angel is back at St Mary Martham for July before going to St Mary West Somerton for August. Created by John for a Christmas Angel Festival in 2009 & later displayed at Norwich Cathedral. Thank you to John’s family for letting us enjoy it in churches where John worshipped

Congratulations to Revd Hannah, ordained priest today! We had a wonderful time joining in via YouTube from Martham Church and at the end toasted Revd Hannah with fizz and chocolate cake 🎉

There will be no morning service taking place in Flegg North on Sunday 28th June as there is a joint Benefice communion service instead at St George's Church, Rollesby at 10am. At 6pm there's the Songs of Praise evening service in Winterton Church to which all are welcome! 4/4

On Saturday evening it’s the second concert in the Winterton May to September Music Festival, details below, tickets can be purchased on the door. 3/4

The ordination service is at 10.30 am at Norwich Cathedral on Saturday, if you are unable to attend the Cathedral do join us at St Mary the Virgin Martham where we will be watching the service on YouTube together (with refreshments!). 2/2

Today we celebrated Revd Howard having his PtO renewed! Thank you to everyone who helped with the celebrations!

2/2 The Revd Howard Daubney will be presiding at his first Holy Communion service since being granted Permission to Officiate at 11 am at St Mary Martham. The bellringing will be dedicated to Revd Howard. Celebratory drinks and nibbles after the service. Do keep Revd Howard in your prayers.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Joint Benefice Pentecost Service today. Thank you to all who participated in the service and to the Winterton team for their hard work behind the scenes. It was a joy to announce that Revd Howard Daubney has been given PtO and is rejoining the Ministry Team.

Tomorrow, Sunday 24th May, the Church celebrates Pentecost. In the Flegg Parish Churches Team we gather together for one service and worship all together at Winterton Church at 10am. We’ll be joined by guest preacher, Revd Dr Lucy Dallas, our Diocesan Director of Ordinands. All are very welcome!
