I love Denver, the Avs, riding my bike, fishing, traveling, economics, progressive politics, water, and my friends.
Always great to see my old college buddy Will do the sound mix for Death Cab. We’ve been seeing these guys together since like 2000. So cool he’s made a career out of it. CMAC is a lovely venue.
Exploring my cottage for the week in Upstate NY and I found this gem. We are proud of you Mrs Hooker for getting your diploma at the Woman’s Institute of Domestic Arts and Sciences back in 1922. Ruth majored in dressmaking which is pretty cool!
Our setup has been successful. The damn finches clear us out in hours these days.
I put down that Peter Mueller on it for us. @ajhaefele.bsky.social I really hope you don’t have to eat that chip. But heck, YOLO as you always say.
Here’s a fun old pic a dear friend just sent me of some college shenanigans circa 2001. No idea what’s happening, but I’m on the cymbal.
Yeah I can’t believe how lucky we were to see a grizz and then those two lovebirds at about 40 yards. It was a little too close for comfort with the grizz, at least the black bears were across the river and preoccupied.
Chief Joseph Highway in Wyoming along the Clark’s Fork Canyon was a spectacular drive. Highly recommend!
Finally to Billings and in bed about 2.5 hrs later than expected. Not terrible all things considered plus I got this fluff monster to keep me company.
We’re getting a replacement plane…The pilots are getting a well deserved puppy break while we wait for our new ride.
The wife captured a pretty special sunset last night. This is on the upper Colorado River outside of Granby. I managed to catch a couple rainbows.
Here’s an original photo I took of my mom’s Parkinson’s walk team, compared to the “Adobe cleaned up image” the fundraisers used in an email thanking the participants. It’s damn scary!
Chicken for the week… and yeah someone read Kenji’s newsletter about skewering half chickens.
