Sure, I'll buy it. Not moving to California, tho. 12axes.vercel.app
Holy shit, I just googled it. That is a statement, man. I didn't think we were doing #brutalism anymore. It's practically Soviet. (To be clear, I kinda love it. But I don't have to live with it).
Trekkies: If you see this post your first experience with Star Trek.
This One's from the Heart. It's delightful. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_On...
I imagine it would be a bit cheaper to buy this junkyard, which would let you expand the park to West Ave and maybe give space for a sports field or two.
@kyledanderson.bsky.social Okay, it maybe didn't start out of a YouTube series (because 1980s), but Record of the Lodoss War turned a D&D campaign into various media and then anime series before it was cool. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Record_...
The game that I pretty much settled on as *my* game through highschool was GURPS. I was mostly in it for the space adventures, but I also ran a Cyberpunk game at one point. And I absolutely loved reading the sourcebooks. Great stuff.
The first game I ran was FASA Doctor Who. Of course. I had a bunch of the minis for that too. I was particularly into the idea of playing a team of CIA operative Time Lords and going around solving mysteries, but I wasn't a particularly good GM aged 11 or so. So this didn't really go anywhere.
Or it might have been FASA Star Trek. I know we played at least once, but I don't have a strong memory of it. I *do* remember getting a bunch of the little lead starship minis. I loved those. They kinda fell a part, tho. And I had very poor paint techniques. But I loved them.
My friend Bill got into RPGs at some point in middle school. Not sure how, but he roped me in. I'm not sure what we played first. It might have been the TMNT RPG. I played a hamster. (I hadn't settled on the flying squirrel thing yet).
I'm thinking about this… I got introduced to #ttrpgs by my next door neighbour's grandson who'd fly in from Calgary. I was 8. I don't think he was much older. We didn't know what we were doing, but he somehow convinced me to roll up a Basic D&D character and we beat up some goblins or something.
You know, I had to hit up Wikipedia. I'm familiar with a few of the hockey players, but don't really have anything against them. Don't know much about about the Australian footballers or, surprisingly, Brazilian footballers. The American actresses seem nice enough. So... winx.fandom.com/wiki/Darcy
