Inspired by the first pic (by u/BBNC_urbex on Reddit), next #ScaleModels project will feature #Verlinden Clark forklift and #Arii #Honda T360. You folks liked my rust, so I'll make some more! I'll also try to have it published (#FineScaleModeller ?)
Slow progress on my #ScaleModels rust. Around 8 hours in already (front and left side), probably 10 more needed at least (first time trying to track my bench time). Yesterday, I had a short session using #AKInteractive pencils to add nuances to the enamel and acrylic spots.
First time ever the passing of a celebrity makes me so sad... but hey, here's my favorite t-shirt. #JurassicPark
Rusting #ScaleModels ain't easy! One needs to test a bunch! I wish I had more products 😅
The proverbial "less is more" was thrown out the window against my will... I completely surrendered to the #ScaleModels god of rust. Dark rust layer done using #Vallejo texture; other tones coming!
First time trying panel lining on one of my #ScaleModels; not great result, likely due to the rough #Vallejo primer and the #AKInteractive crackling medium in some places. Failing is learning... and most will be covered by rust. A flat coat and rust we go!
You fellow builders of #ScaleModels are the only ones who could ever understand my contentment: using AK crackling medium on the side mirror makes the glass look like it is broken! Yeah!
This is how it looks like with all the windows done. Perhaps I went a bit overboard by having all of them broken, but I couldn't help! Main issue is the interior getting a bit crapy, but I'll cover those seams with black paint.
Tempered glass (screen protector) is a great way to reproduce a convincing damaged windshield on #ScaleModels; what do you think?
Thanks Jay. It was inspired by the photography below of a Mutt in Suez. The markings are not exact on mine, but I wanted to have a bit of fun.
In Fall 2024, after a 20yr hiatus, I jumped back into #ScaleModels with a #Tamiya m151 Mutt to see if I still had a feel for it. Turned out I had missed it so much and then decided to get serious about it. This one was completed in Feb.2025.
My #ScaleModel vignette is close to being done! Now, I have to work on the #Honda that will set in the middle; I've neglected her...
I'm afraid I'm addicted to making rusty 1/35 #ScaleModel accessories
Super proud of my worn-out red fence! I'm making good progress on this tiny base (1/32 #ScaleModel)
Haskap bushes are bumble-busy!! #AlbertaGardening #Gardening
#ScaleModel priming madness on my 1:32 #Honda N360. Tiny vignette ongoing as well.
Snow forecast in my neck of the wood today... or is it a neck? 😉😅
After a 20yr break, I went back to building #ScaleModels. Here is my most advanced project ever: a #LandRover Defender of the @hmcoastguard.bsky.social. It's far from perfect, but I'm proud of the result and I learnt a lot. Details of the project here: forums.kitmaker.net/t/hm-coastgu...
A quick and dirty river relative elevation model (REM) for the Upper Smoky River here in Alberta. Thanks to Dan Coe Carto for his IDW method in #QGIS.

Today, I gave blood for the 10th time in Canada! Thanks Canadian Blood Services.
I now know that there is a #freshwater bivalve in #Alberta that is called a fatmucket, and that made my day! Credit: @inaturalist.bsky.social
