I couldn’t change my country so I changed my country. I’m an American now living in Madrid. 🇺🇸 I look right, but I can’t and won’t keep my mouth shut. The call is coming from inside the house.
Last night I danced and sang with 50K of my closest friends. Among the best concert vibes of any of the 100s of gigs I’ve been to and definitely the best in a stadium. So glad I left my hateful country. Debí tirar más fotos pero estaba bailando como un loco.
Every morning I wake up shocked, again, that America CHOSE to be like this, to live like this. All Americans had to do to prevent this, to protect themselves, to have a shot at leaving a decent world for their children, was vote for Kamala. And 2/3 of them chose not to.
Americans were given a choice in 11/2024. They chose hate and their own destruction. They chose a bleak future for their children. And 1/3 of them made this choice by not bothering to get off their asses and vote & pretending that wasn’t a vote for Project 2025 & Trump
Dear America. It’s not funny anymore. It’s just sad. Sad that 1/3 admire and believe this unhinged crap. Sadder still that most of the rest are fine with just sitting back and not taking any real action. Sad. Pathetic too. But mostly just sad.
This is the future American’s chose for themselves and their children. Only 1/3 of them voted to prevent it! What’s happening now was totally foreseeable but Americans chose willful blindness.
