I can't believe it's been 10 years since kishi_bashi released Sonderlust and, by extension, around 10 years since I took these photos, featuring one of the most photogenic crowd-surfs-with-violin I've ever seen (or even without)! It doesn't feel that long ago. Hyped to see them again soon.

I still don't get why posts like these take off when it literally takes a quick search of, literally "Cuba, energy" to find at least a dozen examples of US media speaking directly to the cause of Cuba's energy crisis. Like it's not even just not in the headlines. Most of the headlines are about it!

Part 2 of 4 - there is something uplifting when faced day after day with some of the most crushing news you've ever seen, being able to gather and protest with likeminded and equally-enraged people.

I've taken photos of surfers on the southern tip of Lake Michigan, although it pretty much only happens when the wind is coming fiercely from the North. Interesting, though, the juxtaposition between the lake and the surrounding mills.
