I'm still trying to eat healthier meals. This is lambs lettuce, Squeaky Bean tuna style flakes, cucumber, spring onions, mint leaves, chives, parsley, coriander, and topped with balsamic glaze and a piri piri sauce. I need to find the will power to stop eating takeaways and junk food. #vegan

Thinking about the bookshop article I linked to earlier. Doesn't matter what you read or how you start. I go back to books I read when I was younger. Two of my favourites below. I read to my grandson, sometimes for nostalgia, and always for the magic of stories. Anyone else do the same? #books

This book is part of the Johnny Maxwell series. All of three of the books in the series are great. I was older than the target age group for the book at release but it's such a delightful story.

The image on the cover shows a boy and his dog dancing in a cobbled street. A couple of men in cloth caps watch on amused and a series of terraced houses can be seen in the background. The style of the drawing is a loose sketched style. I believe the illustrations are by William Marshall.

I think this book was purchased for me around 1981 or 1982. I loved the illustrations and the stories bring back so many happy memories.

#caturday Who goes there? She's spying on a stray cat whilst still trying to keep hidden. Went from lying down to this position. A tiny stray tabby has started to use one of two cat houses we have on the garden. They are there for any animal that night need shelter. More cat food to stock up on!
