Ist das vielleicht das Vorbild für Dobrindt? Wie würde wohl der Vergleich unseres zukünftigen Verfassungsschutzes mit dem zweiten historischen Vorbild einer Geheimpolizei mit operativem Mandat auf deutschem Boden: dem Ministerium für Staatssicherheit (MfS) der DDR, ausfällt. Wer weiß mehr darüber?

For today's #BirdOfTheDay theme #RedOrDead I have a Variable Sunbird (Gelbbauch-Nektarvogel, Cinnyris venustus) from Mekelle in Northern Ethiopia, trying with its teal, blue and yellow colors to counter the bright red of the bougainvillea flowers.

A small male Variable Sunbird is perched sideways on a green leaf, surrounded by a dense bush of vibrant, bright red bougainvillea flowers. The bird features a shimmering iridescent teal-blue head and upper back, dark wings, a brilliant yellow belly, and a long, sharply down-curved black beak.

Das #WM2026-Debakel zeigt , dass es im Fußball ist wie im richtigen Leben: abgewirtschaftet. Falsche Prioritäten in allen Themen. Eine BReg die nicht weiter denkt als eine fette Sau springt, sich rechtspopulistisch von Ideologen und Lobbyisten treiben lässt. Gilt eben auch für Sportfunktionäre.

For Alan's #BirdOfTheDay theme #Birds&Buds is a sunbird an obvious candidate. Here is a Tacazze sunbird (Nectarinia tacazze) from the Ethiopian highlands, feeding on a Leonotis (commonly known as Lion's Ear or Lion's Tail).

I offer this funny fellow, a Speckled Mousebird (Colius striatus, Ethiopia) as #BirdOfTheDay and variation of the theme #BirdOnAWire. They often hang under wires or branches rather than sitting on top of them due to a combination of specialized anatomy, body temperature regulation, and digestion

My #BirdOfTheDay, an Egyptian Goose (Nilgans, Alopochen aegyptiaca) is small, but the #WaterDroplets are massive. It is seen sitting on the edge of the spill-over of the dam of the Aba Samuel Reservoir near Addis Ababa.

My #BirdOfTheDay theme #SeaBirds is a Northern Fulmar (Eissturmvogel) photographed on Helgoland Isle. The bird has an interesting feature, a salt gland above the nasal passage that helps desalinate their bodies, due to the high amount of ocean water that they imbibe.

I saw this pair of Northern Gannets (Basstölpel) on the isle of Helgoland. Gannets are said to often stay together for the whole life. Make them a fine example of #BirdOfTheDay theme #Pairs.
