He'd do better to take a load of fire engines around the country, tbh. Looking over to Wales across the Bristol Channel, somethings on fire over there...
We had a Rocketeer standee in the Film Society office at Mcr University. This is me and the Late Beloved posing with the TWO awards we won that year (I wish I'd washed my hair that day😆)
The last year I was involved with Manchester University Film Society (where I met Paul) we chose this still from Death in Brunswick for our season booklet cover. Now all three are no more, which makes me very sad.
This was our sunset last night, as the smoke from the Dovestone wildfire drifted over Manchester. We're 13 miles west of the fire.
This is why, according to a friend in the industry, civil engineering companies are reluctant to take on big, multi-year projects.
I just opened a drawer and found these - what are these strange garments?

Currently Cat-scrolling (trying to read Bluesky feed over sea of fur).
That's nearly 22°C Indoors. In shade. North-facing. A week ago it was 15° and I was forced to put the heating on for a short while.
Just off to the protest in St Peter's Square against the #LabourBathroomBan

On days when I have to Do Stuff™️ on the computer, it's nice to have some company. (And yes, she does have one of my old jumpers to sleep on).
This keeps popping up when I open the IMdB app. I keep mistaking it for a late 80s Dave Lee Roth video.
Butter wouldn't melt... The cat has been enjoying the sun with me. She looks very contented, doesn't she? You would not believe the pungency of the silent fart she's just emitted...
Terfs: "Women's toilets are sacred single-sex spaces which must not be defiled by The Awful Transes ™️ Me: "Oh yeah?" Two different women's toilets at a tourist attraction today...
Seems to be working fine already. Rose's has been Lime Marmalade for as long as I remember.
Northern Rail is currently running this ad, boasting about "Levenshulme to Manchester in 8 minutes!" Unless you're a wheelchair user, of course... #TravellingWhileDisabked
Does this win the Most Useless Broken Thing award? Dad kept this for 40 years, meaning to "turn it into a novelty lamp for your sister."
