Oh, joy. This is a thing now. Had to block three of them already - AI bot accounts posting random nonsense and promoting AI "tools" and giveaways.
This is genuinely healing for my soul. I am also drenched in sweat and my legs are jelly, but I am really proud of myself. The journey has only just begun.
Have a sneak peek of something I am working on! Influenced by Kenichiro Fukui's brilliant Einhänder OST and Hitoshi Sakimoto's equally fantastic Gradius V OST - some bullet hell music by yours truly :) (This project is ballooning, please ignore the mess lol) #gamemusic #shmup #bullethell
I bought a bike! Or, well, a part of the meager inheritance I got from my dad bought me a bike. We went out for its maiden voyage today (my partner already has her own - very cute and very stickered - bike). After coming home my entire body is filled with stardust. This is what it's all about.
Look, I'm prone to hyperbole, it comes with the ADHD package. But I am not kidding in the slightest when I say that it took me 20 years to work up the courage to arrange this part of "Moon" from Within a Deep Forest. It's such a beautiful, tender part of the track. I wasn't ready until now.
In my restless dreams I have enough money to hire The Metropole Orkest so they can record this massive orchestra arrangement from an ancient indie game with synths and theremin and drums and I do not have that money, but I can still dream of this insanity being performed live LISTEN TO ITTTTT
I only had energy for a shorter stream today but hey, I made a quick little chill thing! Sometimes you can do a lot with a little. :)
I will be EXTREMELY impressed if anyone recognizes where this is from. Behold, my silliest VGM giant orchestra project yet!
The result of tonight's short stream! I didn't have much inspiration so I just played a quick flute melody, then wrote the backing around it. I think it turned out pretty nice. :)
I was just noodling around in Reaper with an electric piano and then I made myself sad If you know where this is from, I'm sorry I made you sad too
Checked myself on ClearSky and had a good laugh. Proud to be on this silly block list. "Productive conversations" my left foot, if you try to shill genAI shit to me I will block you faster than you can say "it's the future"
Sound on! This was the result of yesterday's stream. The challenge: ONLY use completely free synths and effects. Stuff used: * Zebralette3 * GR-8 * TyrellN6 * Heartbreaker Synth * kHs Compressor * ReEQ * ReaDelay * epicCLOUDS * LoudMax
Mini vacation over. Was wonderful, but longing for my partner and my own bed. I'll be yelling about fascism and music on here soon again, I know you've all been eagerly anticipating this
Just watched my brother-in-law kick ass on stage with his band. A good evening was had. In all of this, it's good to feel something good every now and then.
This is my modest little graph view for now! I started with "You learn when you teach" which I heard in a YouTube video, and that then got me thinking about rubberducking, which got me to the Feynman technique through some googling. I can see them tied together now in Obsidian and that's cool!
Hey @orteil42.bsky.social is the Swedish translation of Cookie Clicker done by AI, because this is not what "interest" means in Swedish in this context or was this just a localization mishap
'Tis the season and all that. I'll be offline tomorrow because that's when Sweden traditionally celebrates. Not MUCH to celebrate, honestly, but... well. Let's try, at least. Take care, everyone. See you soon.
