I’m a potter living in Asheville, NC. Art helps make the world make sense. It keeps us all moving forward. It’s gonna be a bumpy next four years, let’s keep inspiring each other to lead the way.
Today Ginger and I got up close and personal with the neighborhood Doe.
It’s been a hot minute. I’ve been making clay heads to hang all over my neighborhood and those I visit. I also added my Xmas present from kid the older. I haven’t been on blue sky in a while but miss all the posts that remind me so many folks have morals.
When the world feel so uncertain I’m so thankful to have a creative outlet.
I’m having loads of creative ideas. I love it. I’m starting a friend’s series for kids . Here’s a sneak peak at one. 😃😂
I love this idea for Black out Friday. Take care of your neighbors. The more we care for each other, the less trauma we will feel from all that’s going on around us.
Before color. Orders getting decorated today. I always make extras. Daffodil 🌼
I say Shop small local only, cash only. Especially in disaster areas that small businesses are struggling like Asheville. Support local! A week of this would be amazing. Power in numbers.
I recycle EVERYTHING for shipping pottery. My shipping space can look more than unruly. Shipping day made me take a second to make a teeny tiny less unruly. 😂
Gotta remain moving forward with purpose. Quotes help me stay positive.
Working on my dinnerware children’s story. I made a couple of test plates before I started the set. I painted them today. Thinking I’ll make a little book to go with the set. #pottersofbluesky #story #trysomethingnew #refocusyournegativeenergy
The the perfect dreary day. It means I can work on my dinnerware children’s story! Hoping to start painting today too!
Mug shot Monday. Or gonna be mugs. #mugshotmonday #pottersofbluesky
Testing clays and making reminders for myself. #pottersofbluesky
I. like. small. mugs and I cannot lie. You others mothers… well, like big mugs I guess. 😜😂 (These are smaller. Like 8/10 ounces. I dig really hot coffee.)
I missed a day or two. Day 7 of 20 days of images. Art makes the world make sense. Make art. Be kind. Let’s do more random acts of kindness. whew. This is gonna be a very long 1,000 years of this tyrannical regime.
Meet my story characters from left to right: Forest the pig, Frida the cat, Luna the opossum and Maude the chicken. More about them later. That’s me desperately trying to do anything when I want to hide away. I called and wrote my REPS and am ready, with a full tank to swarm our nation.
Working on a children’s story told through dinnerware set. Meet the characters on the cups left to right: Forest the pig, Frida the cat, Luna the opossum, and Maude the chicken. It’s called The Night Party! More later.
Day 5: 20 images on pottery every day. #pottersofbluesky #flowers #nature #bugs #freemanclayworks
