An expert (? haven't actually worked in the field for a while but grad school never leaves you) in weird niche embedded GPS applications, currently teaching physics, always sipping coffee, riding bikes, wearing cardigan sweaters. (they/she/ey)
My partner just started the 2026 Tour de Fleece. I'm honestly not sure if this is supposed to be taunting or comforting. 🤷🏼♀️
I think I'm finally hitting the "fuck it" phase of my enby transfem transition thing where I just start wearing clothes I like, outside, where I have to see other people with bumper stickers that say they hate me. At 41.5 is better than never, I guess. (Shirt's a @moxiest.art design, I think).
Perseverance and Ingenuity are into vinyl records and help me open my record player case. @sciencesocks.bsky.social
I'm a broken record posting pictures of my copy of this record, but it's a perfectly constructed album, Alan Parsons Project's The Turn of a Friendly Card.
I finally got to the local record shop I've been wanting to visit this weekend and some of you may appreciate what I got (@asterionhex.monster bears some responsibility for this decision, but Square Hammer is just an absolute banger).
I'm getting ready for a family trip and currently running into an issue where every single book in my immediate priority TBR pile may actually end my relationship with my mother if I take it with me to read on the plane? 🤷🏼♀️
I'm in love with my Lego Saturn V kit that I finally finished after like three years. I'm mildly annoyed it comes with a figure for Michael Collins and no place to put him.
New profile pic showing off my second attempt at doing my own makeup outside the context of "theater kid", my new beanbag chair, and two of my favorite records in my so-called collection.
I have no idea if Belle de Jour counts as a "historical film" or not, but it's based on a novel from 1928 and talking about it is a really great way of admitting your probably kinda kinky in polite company. 🤷♀️
Did my own makeup outside the context of "theater kid" for the first time ever at 41 and HRT for 6.46 years.
My high school friend group was obsessed with this and then nobody else outside of it seems to know about it.
I miss my Chihuahua (+ Pekingese+ Pomeranian + Yorkie) mix and his absolutely ludicrous face.
She has a dog sledding harness that clips onto a belt and likes scaring the shit out of me on cross-country jogs by going into hound mode and treeing squirrels thanks to you.
Today I decided that estradiol counts as "drugs" and my injection playlist was The Yum Yum Tree by Ozric Tentacles..
Goobering is important work and it's good to know the legacy is in good paws.
I stumbled upon a record shop with a 20% off three deal and made some decisions.
Just put the first sticker on the case of my record player. If anyone knows the artist who designed the sticker, please share! I forget where I got it, but I've been saving it for something special.
Cecilia is part southern farm dog but here she is asking to go outside again to see if her favorite bathroom spots are clear yet (they definitely aren't).
I'm trying to explain to her that I also want a four mile walk today but that I can't do anything about the snow storm, record low temperatures, and road salt shortages in a city with an actual salt mine.
If you also still need a distraction from a large US city being occupied by the secret police and the president threatening war on Denmark and the media covering it like that's a totally normal thing, here's a dog pic:
