I vividly remember playing NCAA 07 and hearing the ads for Old Spice every time a team got to the 20 (they had branded the entire part of the field with a voiceline to mimic broadcasts) But this is also the sport where we complain that the title sponsor of a bowl game isn’t the one we grew up with.
The most recent CFB game has a giant Mountain Dew ad on the scoreboard (alongside branded uniforms and a stadium), Lowe’s on the crowd meter, multiple broadcast transition animation sponsors, and the real-life Allstate sponsorship from college football.
