Really, these games could not have more different vibes from each other.

Here is what I have: the thread in which you disavowed defending Jemma and a screenshot you once shared of the accusations in DMs. I recall no specifics given. Just vague assertions that she "groomed" someone and that she's a danger. She was mass harassed based on secret evidence until she deleted.

I'm sorry.

I've been asked by the people she hurt not to dig this back up. They want to move on, and I want to respect that.

But I also felt it was important to make a public statement about this. I betrayed the trust of some friends and I want them to know that I'm sorry.

If it's alright with everyone, I'd like to not talk about this too much more, which is why I've turned off replies. It really hurts to have been betrayed by a friend like this.

Well, it started like this, and continued to go downhill as I refused to use her preferred language and she refused to engage with anything except the most superficial characteristics of my phrasing, lashing out incoherently. You're better off not seeing this garbage.

My post: Because misandry is not a society-wide axis of oppression, "transmisandry" doesn't quite mean the same sort of thing. It doesn't mean trans men don't have distinct challenges, it's just not an equivalent framework for analysis. This gets flattened into "transmisandry doesn't exist" by some folks.

Also also... there are *extended* bad-end sequences that hit me very hard in my weak points. Like when you lose the fight to a hot spider and she lays her eggs in you...

A monstrous spider descends from the ceiling. Of note, unlike most "sexy spider" women in games, this one has a fully monstrous bug face. She addresses the protagonist, saying:

How cute. It means it will be incorporated into our family.

You couldn't see it in the dark. Her mouth is separated into several chelicerae that move and contort to lisp out a semblance of words. Sticky blue ichor hangs from each joint as she articulates to you with a hiss.

Not to belabor the point excessively, but the following post got reblogged onto my dash today, and it's a clear-cut example of how some of these posters hop onto any transfem positivity post to claim it's "transandrophobic" simply by being about transfems. Things are bad on Tumblr.

Tumblr post by transandrophobiaexpose which itself screenshots a reply thread between trans women to label it an "example of Tumblr's transandrophobia" with the commentary "Apparently no one gives a shit about transmascs even though they're one of the most vulnerable populations on earth." The screenshotted thread reads:

I have committed an act of fanfiction. Please forgive me. For whatever it's worth, this story demands no particular knowledge of the source material beyond the basic premise: In 1862, London was magically transported into a giant, unusually haunted cave.

This is, otherwise, your standard arachnixe fare. A shitty lesbian with selfcestuous inclinations goes through the identity wiggler, and also there are spiders. If you are among my usual audience, I don't expect you to need the concept of arachnid hive-minds explained to you, even if you've never heard of "sorrow-spiders" or their councils before.

Sleep’s departure rakes its claws across my mind, drawing forth a groan of dismay and dumping me, disoriented, into another rough morning. Of course, with curtains drawn, it’s easy enough to ignore the sun’s opinion of what time of day it might actually be—the two of us haven’t been on speaking terms since I got sick.

I sit up, scrubbing at my face with hands still heavy with sleep. But something about it feels off. Wrong. Fingers trace unfamiliar lumps and angles, run through hair just a little too wavy to be right. A groan of complaint escapes me. With joints popping, I heave myself upright.

First the nightstand: ring and amulet atop it, staff leaning against. It would be foolish to leave behind my armaments, even on a trip across a hallway to the bathroom.

The door creaks open with a sound like a sharp-toothed smile, expressing amusement at some joke I’m not supposed to be privy to. Still, I’m not so blind as my enemies would have me believe, and I don’t need to read the omens splattered in water stains around the sink to feel that something nasty is coming. Someone’s attention pours through the window’s unblinking stare, but I brandish the ring on my hand to ward it away so I may inspect myself in the mirror.

Whoever that is across the glass—staring at me with haggard face, eyes blinking and bleary—is a complete stranger to me, recognizable only by the presence of my amulet dangling below the neck. With a sigh, I mentally lower my expectations for the day down a notch.

I'm not completely indiscriminate in my taste, they just didn't really have much on there I felt anything other than lukewarm about. Nothing that really makes me happy like smoked brisket, seafood gumbo, chicago deep dish, or roast duck. I did thumbs down both edible gold and fish sticks though.

Eris and Melinoë are naked in the hot springs. Eris leans forward, grinning as she wraps her arms around Melinoë from behind, one hand between Mel's legs while the other hand grabs her just under the chin, turning Mel to face her. Their lips are inches apart. Melinoë grabs for the hand at her neck, but her grip is loose and uncommitted to the effort. There's uncertainty in Melinoë's expression, but she doesn't look like she's resisting.

Finding myself thinking about the Moon Stair again. It's my favorite region in Caves of Qud, and up there among my favorite video game zones of all time. The clash of hex-shaped structures drawn across the game's Cartesian grid is such an inspired way to evoke "alien geometry!"

Hexagonally aligned, magenta-tinted walls box the player into tunnels predominantly angled 120° from each other. A more typical Qud structure, with walls forming 90° angles, sits right in the middle, looking out of place.

Finally tried playing Fallen London, and I'm basically just treating it as Devil Dating Simulator.

Kindling a fire

You dress for the occasion in scarlet and gold. You present the lady with a deep red rose so perfect that it glows even in the red light of the Embassy ballroom. Do not even think about what it cost. It has the desired effect. The Deviless is charmed, and dances only with you. She guides you to the least dangerous parts of the dancefloor. Later in the evening, when the room has grown insufferably hot, she leads you by the hand to a cool, quiet garden, lit by cages of luminescent beetles and dancing fireflies. You dance again, alone, her head resting on your shoulder. Days later, you find her earrings in your pocket. They are still warm.
