just found out the nintendo UI font is Rodin NTLG. what a legendary font, i can see why they've stuck with it for like 25 years
a short little menu theme i did for @alexyweb.bsky.social's Super Mario Bros. Complete (SMB1+2J) ROM hack! was instructed to go for a soyo oka-esque vibe so i did my best :)
there's a certain moody look that OG f-zero has that i love. also the music for port town in particular has a tinge of melancholy to it, which fits perfect with the design
it's wild how ahead of its time the PSX (DVR) xrossmediabar looked, with its minimal design and glass-like icons in 2003. feels like it was one of the first released products with design that imo leans more frutiger aero than y2k
here is "Mahjong Girl VS The Entire Internet", my arrange of "Let's go! (NET ver.") from Taikyoku Mahjong: Net de Ron! (対局麻雀 ネットでロン!) for SGFR's Mahjong Bangers album! original composed by the legendary Yasuhisa Watanabe
i've been hooked on new tomodachi life lately. here's who i have on my island! (one is missing but ill show him another time) this game is so unserious i love it
one of my long time white whales has been the banner music on the wii backup loader channel this is on my childhood wii (pic not mine) and i'm curious who actually composed it or where it came from - has a 90s corporate vibe to it?
sakura momoko no ukiuki carnival looks like a fascinating game bc it involves browsing a fictional internet on a mock web browser. it predicted hypnospace outlaw
a little synthpop tune i made on ableton entirely with original patches on stock plugins! intended as practice for the electronic music module on my uni course
mockups of the video player UI that i designed for the premiere video of Technomarina's bucolic systems album last year! done in a skeuo/frutiger aero style to complement the FA-inspired music of the album #frutigeraero #2000s
the album cover for the arrangement by ryuichi sakamoto & robin scott is so funny and bad. they look so pissed off and disillusioned
i sure have been busy this year. here's hoping i continue this grind in 2026!
composers when a game dev posts an open call for a lead composer for their new quirky indie game
still find it funny how i put a fuckin turbo outrun part in siivagunner's great days FC, their biggest hit FC with 3M views. it's not *super* obscure but compared to the media represented in most other parts, it is fairly obscure
he's got a handful of things from 2002-06. this game as well as master of illusion are solo works and the rest have another composer involved each, but seems his style is easy to tell
got bored and whipped up a partial history of my works in my extended bio on twitter! i've done a Lot and want to keep doing more (wanna make that game project list bigger tho :) )
it's Bandcamp Friday! here's the menu for my musical cafe, take your pick. any purchase is highly appreciated! fusoxide.bandcamp.com
