Parts for the two LeRobot SO-101 arms (leader & follower) both printed on the first shot. This week, we build!
When students visit my office they often want a sec to check out the mugs. I ask the internationals which city is closest to home. It’s always nice to share with someone from a place I’ve visited. The 9 country Euro-sprint this summer meant I needed to add a new shelf.
Summer project (one of so many). Dual Hugging Face robot arms. One to move manually, the other linked to accept movement, then train an AI model for independence. Now to 3D print parts.
Several reports about Trump making $2B mostly from crypto makes it seem like his meme coin did well. It was a colossally bad investment for buyers. Lost over 97% of value from high. The narrative needs to shift - not a good businessman, instead a good grifter.
Me cutting theme earrings for party favors as my daughter has a bunch of her Ag. high school & horse camp/4H friends over for a Western themed party (many also are studying vet science). Daughter: “Dad, they’re too big”. Puts them away. Ugh. I’ll never win, even with teenager # 3.
#Caturday. Here is a black cat, belly up, grooming, at the Old Jewish Cemetery in Prague. He seems to be lording over his domain: “I am in charge here, humans”.
In my Boston College office I have Starbucks mugs from each city I visit. International students always look to see if I’ve been to a city near them. Remarkably my carry-on & backpack has sustained me through a 3 week trip and has brought 9 new mugs home. Soon in Fulton 460c.
More Prague Art by David Černý. Zoom in on the broadcast tower to see the “babies” crawling on it.
Prague’s rotating Kafka head by David Černý. #Maker #Art #inspiration #travel
Where in the world is Prof. G? This country has more castles per square mile than anywhere else. The word “robot” comes from its language, its capital is home to an automated astronomical clock built in 1410, and the country’s previous US ambassador was @bostoncollege alum Bijan Sabet #travel
Where in the world is Prof. G? 6th smallest nation. Landlocked. 42k residents. Only 70k visit in a year. Flag needed a crest to distinguish it from Haiti’s. More registered corporations than people.🇱🇮
Monaco. Got to walk on the F1 course as they broke down the stands and barriers. Also saw changing of the guard. 53 flights climbed. Less than Gibraltar, but “the dogs are barking”
To my gringo bad Spanish this reads like “Lady Farmer” flavor, which I guess is what David Beckham tastes like.
It is, without a doubt, the coolest place I’ve ever stayed. Saba’s House in Tangier, Morocco. 🇲🇦
