Finland reclassified the Hantavirus.

Finland klassar andesvirus som allmänfarlig sjukdom
Efter utbrottet av andevirus på kryssningsfartyget mv Hondius har Finlands regering beslutat att sjukdomen ska klassas som allmänfarlig smittsam, skriver Hufvudstadsbladet.

Det innebär att personer som exponerats kan försättas i karantän och få ersättning om de tvingas vara borta från sitt arbetet.

Andesvirus har lång inkubationstid och Världshälsoorganisationen (WHO) och Europeiska centret för förebyggande och kontroll av sjukdomar (ECDC) rekommenderar en karantän på 42 dygn efter exponering. Andesvirus är en variant av hantavirus.

Hittills har tre personar har avlidit och minst sju bekräftats smittade av passagerarna på fartyget.

Having twins was fun 🫡. Not. No inheriting clothes, more money for pram, baby car seats, and föräldrapenning is not doubled at all (even though taking care of two babies felt >X2 one). Being in the tech industry, we were lucky to be able tp afford it, but this can't be easy for most.

The numbers are not abstract. CalPERS — the retirement fund for California’s public employees — lost roughly $15 billion in two days after the April 2 tariff announcement. Those weren’t theoretical dollars. Those were police officers’ pensions. Teachers’ pensions. Nurses’ pensions. When twenty-five top state and local pension funds collectively lost $169 billion in under a week, those were people’s retirements. I’ve had retirees tell me they watched twenty years of careful saving blink away in a morning. And while they were watching, somebody on the other side of the country was opening a new yacht listing in their browser.

When $11 trillion in market value evaporates and a handful of anonymous traders mysteriously end the week hundreds of millions of dollars richer, the math is not complicated. That money came from somewhere. It came from us.

Discovered that my dad's @wikipedia.org article had most content removed, by some guy noting that description of his research was underreferenced and all info on his PhD students because he wasn't notable enough. His colleagues put actual effort into this but nope.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail...
