Even with the price increase of the Steam Deck, it's still the #1 global top seller (revenue) Yeah it costs a lot more than games, but those games in the list sell *a lot* of copies too.
This is your regularly scheduled and apparently necessary reminder that SteamOS is Linux. SteamOS is built from Arch Linux. The Steam Deck runs Linux. So will the Steam Machine and Steam Frame.

Also, no shade just educating, but again - Proton is a compatibility layer, not the operating system. Steam Deck uses SteamOS Linux.
