The IDU defines itself as the Global Alliance of the Centre right. It is chaired by Stephen Harper. Yet the president of the host of the IDU has threatened to incorporate Mr Harper’s country into his own. This does not seem tenable to me.
19/ It is surely more important that abortion is allowed (or forbidden) than that it should be decided at this level or that one. Abortion is either a fundamental right or murder, what level it is decided at doesn’t even make sense in the US any more after Dobbs.

14/ It’s hard to answer this question in a legal vacuum - do they need a court order?

12/ Very country dependent. I also suspect it will often be answered by people thinking that judgements they agree with are based on legal reasoning and those they disagree with are politicised. You need to cross check this with voter id data to get something useful out of it.
11/ This conflates the international and economic aspects of climate policy in one question. More jail time for the survey designers.
10/ It does rather depend on the country in question. Does something like butskellism or Cameron saying he’s the “heir to Blair” count?
9/ Survey designers should impose a long custodial sentence on the drafter of this embarrassingly leading question.
8/ This only makes sense when assessed against the currlevel of sentencing. That a lot of our public debate on crime is conducted in these terms is one of the reasons our policy is not as good as it could be. That said outside m US dev’d societies are remarkably non violent by historical standards
7/ This really depends on the country about which it is asked - Romanian and (I think?) Bulgarian TV invite astrologers on as serious pundits
6/ This is actually asking : do you think your country can commit to treaties at all. Because treaties are legally binding (though the uk is wierd because of its international plane)
