There's actually a very sizeable third group: bigots who don't give a fuck about women's sports and just hate trans people. Cunningham may care about women's sports, but she is the farthest thing from a good-faith actor, so she still falls in the bigot category

I get that you can't go up there and say we weren't getting the attendance/attention we wanted so we're switching, but to say that it's because the market has shifted is so silly. You're switching to a season that everybody else in this country has always done! Nothing has shifted but you!

USL Super League president Amanda Vandervort told ESPN that the change is being made to be more collaborative and better align with other North American leagues, particularly with the 2031 World Cup expected to be hosted by the United States.

"I think it's the marketplace that's shifted and we want to be part of that," Vandervort said. "We want to be a leader within that space. Our strategy has always been to be a leader in global soccer, but for us, with the World Cup coming to the United States, and with the changes in the ecosystem domestically, that means being on this calendar."

Also saw a couple rather large turtles on my walk today through a very scenic cemetery with a pond that's across the road from my apartment complex

There's a couple raccoons that live near my apartment building and I've seen them very rarely near our dumpster, but always look for them when I drive up. But tonight, we had another sighting, and it turns out the pair has become a family of four!
