I was taking photos in my local park and a small child (maybe 3 years old or a bit younger) posed for a picture and then INSISTED on giving me her snack bars in return. She dragged her mom over to translate from Farsi for me 🥹 little kids, man, they are so great
My stable owner acquired some hens who had been “rooster’s favourites” at another farm, giving them a better life at her rooster-less property. Looking forward to seeing feathers grow back on these ladies! I think this one is Ameraucana? I did get a blue egg in today’s dozen..
Straight into my veins! Well, technically mixed with saline at my infusion appointment next week. 😁 Thanks as always to @shematologist.medsky.social for raising awareness of IV iron for us perpetually low ferritin folks!
My documentation of Tiananmen Square, age 8 (please note I wrote the date in later and got it wrong)
Using my holiday to work on a project. This is a baenaet jeogori, the traditional first garment worn by newborn babies in Korea. Part of my exploration of Korean sewing traditions for the past couple of years.
This is not at all meant to compete with the outstanding/extraordinary bird photography on this app, but I’m quite pleased with this photo I snapped of a young robin in a serviceberry tree yesterday. #birds
This is Meta’s suggested comment on a friend’s post whose cat died at the unexpectedly young age of 4 years, 10 months, due to a heart condition. So helpful 🙄 and how much of my day do I spend clicking unsolicited AI panels closed?
Trying a new coffee roaster from a very non-Anglophone part of Quebec
I used to get the most delicious breakfast burritos in Santa Fe. Red sauce, perfectly done eggs, nice crispy potatoes, a little cheese and onions. Also Christmas enchiladas with blue corn tortillas, cheese, and chicken and some posole on the side. God, I miss New Mexican food 😭
Going through my photos today and I found this shot I took a few years ago with a lens I bought for 20 bucks—a Soligor highly prone to vignetting but capable of delivering some very nice shots. This is on Eastman double X.
Wee silk pouch, for my Korean textiles class. This was quite challenging to make but very satisfying. This is used for holding auspicious beans and rice as a gift at lunar new year. The material is a plain weave starched silk. That was very tricky!
Got an Amazon gift card for being in a research study and decided to treat myself
my partner is not into astronomy and other sky phenomena and was wondering why I was rushing out in my pyjamas to take photos
She currently looks like a pile of damp dirty laundry and I love her still
Just the half Scottish fold barn cat sitting on the roof of my car, likely attempting to start a new life in the suburbs
@actualnames.bsky.social sir may I submit the combo laundromat/nail salon/taxidermist in cañon city, Colorado
#ArtAdventCalendar day 25, #FilmPhotography — Boston, on Eastman Double X, one of my favourite film stocks Thanks for the beautiful art this season everyone!
