NIKKE Warchief Page 20. This took a while entirely because I went into anger frenzy from Chapter 41 Normal of NIKKE's Campaign. One of the factors for me doing this alternate timeline comic had been one of the best event stories (D Outsiders) being eighty-million-retconned to my infinite fury.

PANEL 1: A grey Outer Rim road is depicted, with some shades for the road and an alleyway to eccentuate darkness along the streets. On the left, Orgrim looks to be raising his hand while yelling "Joseph!" The exclamation point next to Joseph is red for punctuated emphasis. Orgrim is depicted gritting his teeth, in mid motion. On the right is a young man dressed in brown, holding onto a black canvas bag and a pistol. He looks sternly, with gold eyes which look at Orgrim while yelling him, "Don't come a single step closer."

PANEL 2: Orgrim is depicted with his reddened eyes widening, as he looks to be mouth-agape. Above him are six red wheezes, while he looks to be trying to catch his breath. His movement has stopped, though not entirely of his own accord.

Joseph's expression becomes mortified; internally, he thinks, "...This Cummander chased me ALL over The Outer Rim... how?!" He steps back, pistol providing some gap between him and Orgrim on a brightened stretch of the same Outer Rim road through which The Warchief gave chase to his quarry.

I really ought to brush up on my Vampire The Requiem so I can conjure up the right Kindred Clan/Covenant combo for my Vtuber avatar. Otherwise, I guess some iteration of "Gunbreaker" wouldn't hurt to be for the purposes of RPG kombat. I recently learned FF14 made Gunbreakers free-to-play.

On a transparent background, The Gentle Tauradonna Oathsworn Of The Fourth Darkness wears a pink tentacle hoodie with Nitro Crate shoulderpads, brown gloves, a Dr Seuss hat, and blue jeans. Over the jeans is a pair of high-heeled Sheena Duquette-inspired pink-and-black boots with Aku Aku feathers on the bottoms of each.

NIKKE Warchief, Page 19. Sultan The Derp gets a small cameo with his favourite Nikke, Centi, as hair accessories which Jackal uses while she is presented as dressed like The Beast from Disney's Beauty & The Beast. I'm still rawdogging it through high Diamond in the Arena. My peak was Diamond 1.

PANEL 1 - An attempt at a title screen, of similar calibre to the ones deployed in Sonic & Knuckles specifically. On the left in the red tapestry, it says "Orgrim & Jackal" in white, where it would have said "Sonic & Knuckles." On the right, under grey rectangles, appears the words "EPHIALTES ZONE."

PANEL 2 - At the top, the setting is identified as "A STEAKHOUSE ON FLOOR XIV OF EPHIALTES." Underneath the descriptor, is a booth table with red-and-pink colour palette. On the right, in an outfit straight out of Disney's Beauty & The Beast, is a blonde Nikke with a bomb collar on. She looks to be chewing on food, which denotes the small tattoos under her pink eyes. She says, while chewing, "Hey, Warchief! If you get a fat paycheck, can we come here more often?"

To her left: Orgrim Malkav, with a satisfied calm smile on his face, answers, "When I make jabronis HUMBLE past Diamond 1." He gives a green thumbs-up, while dressed in yellow underneath his magenta cape. He still wears the azure bow which previously belonged to Marian.

All around both Jackal and Orgrim are both plates and cups, denoting foods consumed at the Ephialtes steakhouse.

NIKKE Warchief, Page 18. I tried to give a lighter outfit to Orgrim Malkav as a reference to a suggestion I perceive to have been entirely sarcastic. I wanted to do a 50-50 mashup of Conker's hoodie and Xemnas' KH2 final boss coat. I lacked confidence. Perhaps later, I can stylize it more.

PANEL 1: Orgrim Malkav sits on a dark-brown couch, while wearing a light-blue coat. The couch is a darker brown than his regular hair. He looks to be in pensive thought from his magenta eyes, while holding a green soda can with an orange on its iconography. He wears orange slacks and red shoes, while sitting on the brown couch.

PANEL 2: Orgrim opens his mouth, bringing the can closer to him. The camera zooms in on his face.

PANEL 3: The camera zooms back to show Orgrim drinking from the orange soda can. His expression neutralizes.

The entire scene is a direct nod to Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64, with Orgrim's outfit directly referencing Conker's colour palette. Instead of a glass of milk, a can of orange soda is being imbibed.

NIKKE Warchief Page 17. Orgrim Malkav is not a member of The Peony Association, but has friends in The Peony Association. I decided to have Jin (one of the NPCs) be said friend; it helps Jin is a voice of reason in the scant few story beats he specifically features in.

PANEL 1 - The setting is labeled as "PEONY ASSOCIATION CLUBHOUSE." The Warchief, who is now dressed with a more pink cape and a red shirt with black sleeves, faces a gangster-looking fella (Jin) who wears shades. He says, "And that's how The Mayor got his pants back." On The Warchief's side is a pill bottle and a glass of water. Jin grins, looking pleased at the moment The Warchief finishes his story.

PANEL 2 - A close-up of Jin, whose face now looks like he's gritting his teeth, is shown as he is shown turning around on the bar. He says, with a curious brow, "I... I think the other Cummanders CAN'T know your current ambitions. They will just make fun of you more than they already do."

NIKKE Warchief Page 16. My first Pilgrim pull was Scarlet Blade Shadow, but I draw her as regular Scarlet as warm-up (I also pulled regular Scarlet much later, but trying to base Orgrim's Nikke recruitment off my goofy gacha pulls is a task I've long since decided was against Good Storytelling).

PANEL 1 - On the top left corner, the setting is labeled "PILGRIM TOWER FLOOR ZERO." Strewn about around the axe-clad Warchief are pieces of a recently-chopped-to-bits Lord-class Rapture: Mace. The Warchief is heavily implied to have come down from the ground after cleaving the Lord-class Rapture in twain, descending on red shoes. Gripping his Gorehowl axe are two green gloved hands, balled into fists to hold the brown-axe with metallic add-ons for the blade.

PANEL 2 - A Nikke in primarily white with no name label (because the comic artist simply forgot to put one) but who is otherwise supposed to be Scarlet asks The Warchief, "Oh? Thou doth bear an odd aura. Perchance, dost thou descent from the lineage of mine old Lord?" She is supposed to look gobsmacked by The Warchief being practically by himself, but I intentionally kept the speech bubble small.

Orgrim Malkav replies, "I don't think so," looking a bit disbelieved at having been asked the question Scarlet asked him. Otherwise, he is drawn smaller simply to denote how much taller she is compared to him.

NIKKE Warchief Page 15. The Pilgrim Tower introduction is one of the first things which laid on thick the fact Andersen was The Legendary Commander of past events. Here, I just have Andersen explain The Pilgrim Tower using Night In The Woods-style speech bubbles because funny.

PANEL 1 - The Warchief is seen from behind, slowly approaching a black-and-grey tower through use of a brown drawbridge to said tower. He stands in another overcast/snowy day otherwise. At the top of the panel, it says "PILGRIM TOWER" to denote where exactly The Warchief is located in relation to the rest of his bogus journey so far.

PANEL 2 - The Warchief is shown with red enchanted eyes; to his left, he is remembering Andersen saying information in black speech bubbles styled after Night In The Woods. The topmost one indicates a Warp Room-esque doorway leading to "PISTON IT AWAY," drawn intentionally similar to Crash Bandicoot 2's Warp Room entryways. On the left of the PISTON IT AWAY SIGN, are icons indicating already-grabbed clear gems and a crystal. On the right, the word "MODERNIA" is indicated. The bottom speech bubble reveals both the Pilgrim insignia, and the face of Scarlet Black Shadow.

The Warchief looks to be in focus in trying to remember whatever it is Andersen was trying to say to him about The Pilgrim Tower; otherwise, the challenge was to minimize words in the speech bubble using Night In The Woods as a framework.

NIKKE Warchief Page 14. Long-overdue. I am still planning Chapter 32 Normal's demise, but I've already taken a look-see to my would-be "future" and am furious at Nikke's story enough to keep making Alternate Timeline pages as the most useful conduit for channeling my disdain in a productive way.

PANEL 1 - The Warchief gets out of the bedsheets he was previously under to speak more upright to Mustang, "Mustang, I feel I'm hardly worthy to receive you at present."

A cutaway pans over to Mustang who looks confused, "Pourquoi?"

PANEL 2 - The Warchief clarifies, "I still haven't asembled my first "Fiendish Five" for you and Syuen."

The panel pans up to Mustang, who says with a more assured smile and expression, "Just rawdog it."

Both panels use a dark grey background, while The Warchief's bedframe is orange for distinction. Behind The Warchief in both panels, he has a dark-green pillow behind him. He wears a neon-green t-shirt, and black pyjama pants. His hands grip the bottom part of the bedframe, which is attached to a neaby wall.

NIKKE Warchief Page 13. I'll admit I had a bit of choice paralysis with what next page to draw, as several ideas sprang to mind. At the very least, I can complete the trifecta of "each Big Three CEO has now officially been depicted in this garbage ass comic."

PANEL 1 - The Warchief sits in a bed, with a dark grey pillow and light grey blankets. He looks towards the right, with a thought bubble alongside which goes "..." His bed is orange-ish, along a grey bedroom area.

PANEL 2 - Mustang, a tall bloke who wears a really ridiculous and hard-to-draw outfit, greets The Warchief with a porkchop-mouth-smile, as he says, "Bonne soiree, Anis' Diamond-in-the-Rough! I saw your fiasco against Elysion's fabled Kongmmanders, and just had to visite vous myself!"

He wears sunglasses over his eyes, and has a fu man chu which partially obscures his Hella Jeff mouth. On one of his ears is a golden earring intended to be a disco ball. He wears what boils down to an acrobatic clown outfit, with black-and-peach diamond stripes. He has high heels on, with gold disco balls attached to them. They're meant to be gold-and-silver, but I cocked up and gave Mustang too little space to work with.

NIKKE Warchief Page 12. I will give Tiny Kong-mander a proper name at a later date. Otherwise, I afforded myself approximately one of two Konosuba references in my reams of notes for NIKKE Warchief. I find it headache-inducing when Nikke's Campaign imitates Konosuba, which happens painfully often.

PANEL 1 - Underneath one of The Warchief's Red Shoes, a Tiny Kong-mander arms herself with a crossbow and loads up a bolt from a blue ACPU quiver. She smiles at the Fourth Wall, while heading towards a hole inside the Red Shoe which formed from earlier in the conflict. The Warchief, distraught by the earlier proposal for a Draw, takes umbrage, "A DRAW?! AFTER ALL YOU LOT AND D O B A N SAID?! NO. VICTORY, OR-"

PANEL 2 - The Warchief, in his now bloodied eyes/mascara, does a face similar to Aqua from Konosuba to indicate a howl of pain (implied to be from Tiny Kong-mander's crossbow bolts) which ripples into the panel on the right.

PANEL 3 - The Warchief is still screaming, though less so. His eyes are not as bloody/bloodshot, and he is not wearing mascara or opening his mouth so. He is on a green bed, with a bedsheet covering most of him. He looks to still be undergoing a night terror, spurred on by the bad memory from the past few pages.

NIKKE Warchief Page 11. I've got clear visual for 4 of the 5 Elysion Kong-manders. I originally wanted a 2nd Danny Smoke In Furry Land reference for this Krita comic, but I instead wound up with a Monty Python nod instead. At least one of these other Cummanders will be in future pages/arcs.

PANEL 1 - The Warchief stands triumphant, but with bloodshot eyes and blood getting into his mascara. He gets back up, quietly putting the lamp aside as he stares at his quarry in the panel below. He tries to look determined.

PANEL 2 - 4 of the 5 Elysion Cummanders are depicted here; each is meant to manifest as not only a member of the DK Crew from Donkey Kong 64, but also a member of a squad full of Nikkes from an Elysion squad each. One of them is almost a dead ringer for Buggy the Clown, otherwise.

The grey-hared DK-tie Cummander asks, "Do you want to call it a Draw?" The Elysion Cummanders otherwise look reluctant to continue the ongoing feud, concerned with the sanity of their opposition.

NIKKE Warchief Page 10. A defect within Krita unwittingly made one of my comic pages more interesting than I originally intended. @paddyrickery.bsky.social reminded me The Grim Reaper was in Chapter 8 of NIKKE's Campaign. I'm currently on Chapter 31's beginning, otherwise.

PANEL 1 - A silver bullet pierces the arena lantern, with a white streak indicating its penetration of a part of the wrestling theatre lights. A "Pchoooooooo" sound is made from the silenced sniper rifle which fired the shot.

PANEL 2 - The lamp head falls directly on top of The Warchief. He starts to buckle down, in front of a multi-coloured rope.

PANEL 3 - The Warchief is shown to be facing down on the ground, the weight of the lamp head too much for him to bear. He looks to be struggling to get up. Next to him is a Grim Reaper wearing a red scarf similar to the one Red Hood wears. The Grim Reaper also has a speech bubble which says, "Warchief Orgrim Malkav of The Burning Blade Clan. It is not your time to join Marian and Red Hood. Get your clown ass up, and make these jabronis H U M B L E." HUMBLE is in red bold text, for emphasis.

NIKKE Warchief Page 9. One of my dastardly schemes for this comic involved referencing a Quirky Mini-Boss Squad of Cummanders of similar affability to The Warchief, who are all Elysion Cummanders themed after the DK Crew of Donkey Kong 64. They previously started out as Crash Bandicoot analogues.

PANEL 1 - The Warchief (on the left) and his Donkey Kong-themed Commander opponent (on the right) are punching each other in the face in the midst of a boxing arena.

PANEL 2 - a different Commander (Diddy Kong-themed) is holding a sniper rifle while laying down on top of a corner where stage lights emit from. On top of the panel says "From An Upper Arena Vantage Point," to better communicate this relative to the primitive art style used to draw this comic.

PANEL 3 - The Diddy Kong-mander's target is shown in the darkness - one of the stage lights in the centre of the boxing arena, with a red target marker using a star to highlight the target (again, a stylized attempt to reconcile the comic's murderously amateur style while partially allegorizing the King Krusha K Rool boss fight of Donkey Kong 64)

NIKKE Warchief Page 8. I based this upcoming arc off of a Donkey Kong 64 boss fight (King K. Rool), while otherwise engaging in storytelling of similar calibre to the kind of content I see provided by Sultan The Derp. Credit for the Danny Smoke In Furry Land reference: @calisalley.bsky.social

PANEL 1 - In the cyan corner, The Warchief is dressed as King K Rool (for visual allegory) while staring down an opposition in a boxing ring with a grey floor. Above him is a lingering thought, "Well THIS isn't how I expected to spend my Saturday..."

PANEL 2 - In the neon green corner, a Cummander with grey hair hides in a brown barrel. His brown eyes look at The Warchief with determination.

PANEL 3 - The camera zooms to the two combatants as they punch each other; The Cummander from earlier is in mid-air, with an outfit intentionally themed similarly to Donkey Kong (down to the red tie with yellow lettering). This Cummander does not have a name at this time, but he does have light-grey pants and shoes so he doesn't blend in with the dark-grey floor.

PANEL 1 - At the Marian Memorial Zone, remnants of an Unknown Crystal Nikke are scattered along the ground of the snowy memorial grounds. The tombstone looks no worse for wear, though The Warchief looks to be sitting down next to it protectively. He is seen eating a spherical mechanical object (Rapture Core) while his two-handed axe of brown and silver colouring, a model replica of Gorehowl, is nearby. A pizza delivery guy is shown vacating the premises while leaving a brown pizza box with a domino emblem of green-and-yellow colouring (also representing a 5 and 6, respectively) for The Warchief, who says "Thanks for the pizza, homie."

PANEL 2 - The Marian Memorial Zone is being looked at from a pondering orb in the possession of four people - from bottom left to top right: Noah, Johan, Cecil, and Dorothy. Noah, the pink-haired girl with cat-ear-looking appendages, looks confused but curious at the Pondering Orb. Johan looks indifferent, with his blue eyes and almost-white-hair. Cecil, the girl with similarly white-ish hair and darker-blue eyes, looks disappointed. Dorothy, the girl in pink with a little bun and antennae on her head, is drawn in a style identical to content creator Musan Pro (YouTube), who draws little mini-clones of her known as Doros in the same style.

NIKKE Warchief Page 6. I wanted to get this over with for about a couple months now, give or take. Neon's introduction was really easy; I had hoped by Chapter 21 there was more depth to her than I initially expected, but I've been sorely mistaken.

PANEL 1: A small white-haired woman with red glasses and neon-green eyes in blue attire similar to Team Fortress 2's The Spy can be seen in a grey bedroom floor, with a brown trundle bed and an orange bed alcove, as well as grey/blue bedsheets which match the room besides. She is giving a gloved thumbs-up, saying "...And that's how The Mayor got his pants back." On the next frame is a brown-haired woman with blonde highlights and purple eyes, who is holographically projecting her head via a Warp Room camera, looks neutrally with a "..." expression.

PANEL 2: An Elysion flash ends the transmission on the brunette's end, with her saying "Keep me updated on 'The Warchief.'" She has red VOIPs to go with. The next frame shows the same white-haired woman, whose glasses glow ivory, as she looks like she got detected when she hears The Warchief, a Commander with a violet cape, talk behind her (her sign of detection is identified by a red exclamation point). He says, "Ingrid COULD have just contacted me herself..."

PANEL 3: The white-haired woman asks, "How long were you standing over there, Master?"

The Warchief replies, "Not very long; about four minutes." He doesn't look too impressed.

PANEL 4: Neon's glasses glow once again, as she's got a soft smile on her face. She's seen crossing her arms. On the next frame, is a more visibly unhappy Warchief hearing Neon say "I guess you have more firepower than the amount I told to Ingrid."

Alrighty.

Me - The Gentle Tauradonna Oathsworn - wearing armour similar to the Tier 3 Dreamwalker set from World of Warcraft's Naxxramas dungeon. The shoes are just yellow, there's a Haunted Tomb Beetle icon on the Dreamwalker kilt, and I added Nitro Crate Shoulderpads as a personal touch. Additionally, there's a Huo'jin Tabard on (it is red). Most of the colour palette is green and gold.

NIKKE Warchief Page 5. PvP > PvE across the board. However, my plans to optimize PvP for the goofy gacha game a decent chunk of my Vtuber colleagues got into are dashed by Anis: Sparkling Summer not being available at present. So, I'll have to make a PvP squad while waiting to pull Summer Anis.

PANEL 1 - The camera faces The Warchief's hooded and caped purple back, while Anis sits on a brown booth chair. Anis, while donning her black-and-grey combat beret which has gold lettering featuring her name and a downward facing triangle, has a cocked brow of piqued interest as she asks The Warchief, "Syuen paid you to assemble a "Fiendish Five?" What for?!" She wears a cyan t-shirt with a purple T on it.

PANEL 2 - A closeup of Anis' face is shown, as her thoughts portrayed in bubbles respectively saying "Oh, no..." and "The ARENA..." surround her. She wears a pained expression, with her eyes being shut. She grits her teeth, as she tries to understand The Warchief's motives for taking the odd job.

PANEL 3 - A stone-faced Warchief is now facing the camera with his eyes glowing pink, contrasting his cape and blue bowtie. His scruffly brown hair is scrufflier than usual, and he otherwise says "..." He leans into his booth seat while looking somewhat forlorn.

PANEL 4 - Anis wields another funny expression; this time, it is with her teeth still gritting, as she declares loudly, "...I put my "Sparkling Summer" core in a vault... So, this won't be a Duwang picnic! Rapi and I have some pals from our pasts whom you'll want for that damn Arena!" She does not look too terribly happy, but seems to be begrudgingly assisting The Warchief with his Fiendish Five plan.

NIKKE Warchief Page 4. The first SSR Nikke I ever pulled was Frima. She and her squadmates from Cafe Sweety moonlight as coffee baristas while otherwise being "fixers" of sorts, and they're also the strongest Nikkes under the banner of Tetra Line, one of the three annoying monopolies in The Ark.

PANEL 1 - The purple-caped Warchief, with black eyeshadow and purple eyes and a blue bow on his neck, approaches the counter of a coffee shop from the outside. The barista on the counter, a silver-haired woman with gold eyes, a green apron, and a nametag which says "Frima" on it, says "...Hey."

PANEL 2 - The Warchief replies with a "...Hey." of his own. On the botom right corner of the Panel, Frima looks curious. Surrounding her are white question marks, denoting her intellectual curiosity of the Warchief in front of her. She isn't the type to say much verbally, so the white question marks are needed to express what her face probably cannot on its own.

PANEL 3 - The Warchief begins a long order: "I'll have two Number 9s, a Number 9 large, a Number 6 with extra dip, a Number 7..."

Next to him on his left is Anis, whose name is on her black beret. She's a lady with short blonde hair, and a cyan t-shirt with a purple T on it. She looks absolutely flummoxed by the long order The Warchief is doing, with a comical "bruh" expression to boot and "..." to denote her biting her tongue.

PANEL 4 - The Warchief's order finishes with "...two Number 45s, one with cheese... and a Large soda."

Frima's expression normalizes. To her left, are two other baristas. One of them, a raven-haired woman with the nametag of "Milk," looks immediately disappointed and somewhat annoyed by the long order. The second one, a white-haired woman with slightly darker skin, is reading off a black tablet while using it to hide her immediate amusement of the current situation. Her nametag's not visible, due to the camera angle and the high top desk obscuring part of her green apron.

The joke here is The Warchief ordering the same order as Big Smoke from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It's one of few video game references which I deemed funny enough to be in his comic.

At one point or another, I drew from a deck of Zombie Tarot Cards during my watch of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3. From there, I determined the name for a Stand of my own, which started out as "Queen of Hazards" (Queen of Pentacles). Over time, I translated her name to Jade Regent.

A Stand with a body type similar to Namine Kingdom Hearts, including her hair. However, she wears a gold Burger King Crown on her head, with red gems and the Japanese symbol of "DANGER" which usually features in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Along the Stand's back are black spider legs - her topmost spider legs have red blades attached to them.

Along the Stand's body is a teal T-shirt, with emerald armguards and a green skirt. Red claw-like gloves encompass the armguards, and she's wearing red boots, of which are supposed to resemble combat boots.

I am fine with just about anything. By all accounts, my Goddess of Victory NIKKE OC, The Warchief, is also a facsimile of my usual Vtuber shenanigans since its goal is me reconciling NIKKE's worldbuilding while commiting art vandalism in the name of telling a story worthy of its world.
