Very sad to hear the news about John Blanche. My first White Dwarf was Issue 166, October 1993, and I was drawn in by his amazing cover art. The start of a lifetime of hobby. The Warhammer 40k aesthetic IS John's aesthetic. What a legend. What a legacy.
There was always a problem with Walkers Squares. They weren't square. However, they have nearly cracked it. Using an increasingly thin layer of sunflower oil, held together with potato starch, Squares are now just one step away from being truly 2-dimensional... #Enshitification #Shrinkflation
Chaplain done, ready for the return to Armageddon. #Warhammer #EreWeGoAgain

Very sad to hear that sci-fi master Ian Watson has passed away. The bonkers worlds he brought to life in the Inquisition trilogy will always be how I imagine the 40k universe.

What bricks would you use to build yourself? I use LEGO(R) Serious Play(R) to run workshops on imaginative research skills and model literacy. I continuously add bits so participants can personalise their builds. Here are some of my new bits.
I've been in my job for a whole month already! In my latest newsletter I reflect on all the transitions I've had to make in the last four weeks. New job, career, and pace. Exciting research to plan. An ADHD brain to pacify. Read more: geoskinner.games/2026/02/03/t...
