The Pinwheel Galaxy, what a beauty! Last night, under a clear Minnesota night sky, I observed M101. It is always a pleasure observing this beautiful spiral galaxy in Ursa Major. It contains about 1000 billion stars, imagine that! #Astrophotography #Unistellar
What a beautiful thing! It is the first year that I planted a butterfly bush, and sure enough a beautiful Swallowtail butterfly made its hang out spot. I could not be happier. #nature #wildlife #butterfly
I was walking (also birding) in a nearby park today, and saw a Great Blue Heron wading right next to me in a shallow creek. Never seen one there before and never thought she could catch such a big fish in that creek. Well, she had a good breakfast! #Nature, #Bird, #photography
The Sculptor galaxy We seem to be in the cloudy sky season lately. A couple nights ago, I took advantage of few hours of clear skies and took an image of this galaxy. It looks good without any post-processing I think. #Atrophotography #Astronomy #Unistellar
It was quite an Auroras show last night in Minnesota. Did not need to go to a dark sky site, just by the front porch #astrophotography #nature #astronomy
On July 26, I attended a star party at a Bortle 4 site.It was a nice crisp night, but a bit dewy. I observed/imaged one my favorite nebulae: The Trifid Nebula, what a beauty! This is out of an Unistellar eVscope2 without any further processing. #astrophotography #Astronomy @unistellar.bsky.social
After a long strech of cloudy and rainy days, we got one night of clear skies (hoo hoo). I managed to observe few of the summer nebulae hanging just barely above the trees line. These are straight out of my eVscope2, no post processing. #astrophotography #astronomy @unistellar.bsky.social
We are happy the Eastern Blue bird is nesting in our garden. What a beautiful bird #birds
Beautiful night! We had a nice warm (unseasonably for Minnesota) night for stargazing. I managed to image two objetcs with my eVscope2. These are unedited. The Lower Sword in Orion is becoming one of my favorites, look at these bright blue stars #astronomy #Astrophotography
Finally we are having few clear nights, yay! Although it is still cold. I don't mind :-) I managed to capture few images last night with my eVscope2 #Unistellar #Astronomy #Astrophotography
As we say goodbye to 2024, I thought I's share few of my favorite astro images. I captured these using an eVscope2 - no post-processing at all. Happy New year to all, may 2025 bring you joy and peace! #Astronomy #Astrophotography
I had a staring contest with this fellow the other day, and...I lost.
November and December have been very cloudy in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. During a 2 hours clear sky teaser last night, I managed to image the Running Man Nebula. Taken using an eVscope2, without any further processing. #Astrophotography #Astronomy
Eastern Veil Nebula Last night, we had few hours of clear skies. It was cold though, (7F, -13C) but, fortunately, the telescope was outside and I was inside the glass door 😊 From a Bortle 7 suburb using an eVscope2, unedited. It is beautiful as is I think. #astrophotography #Astronomy
