Game developer. Made Dust Fleet. Making something else.
Why does the newer logo look like it gets its lunch money stolen every day, and the old logo looks like it fucks?
I opened the door, so now we're all able to get on with our day. bsky.app/profile/kmar...
Production wise, it looks amazing. Possibly one of the best-looking shows I've ever seen. The chariots are really cool, the sets all look solid, the space suits are awesome. I love the Jupiter design. The landscapes are exciting and beautiful. It's a really wonderful looking show.
Every single thing they do goes wrong to a formulaic degree. In the first episode alone, the ship immediately sinks, Maureen breaks her leg, Judy gets frozen in ice and Will falls down a hole.
I know Dr Smith is supposed to lie, but she even lying about being Dr Smith, as well as lying about being her sister, her job, killing someone, leaving Don behind, lying about things Don said, etc etc it's just incredibly draining for me, the viewer, to be the only person who knows anything.
I was away last week, so I finally got around to watching Lost In Space (Season 1) on Netflix. A deeply frustrating experience with some good stuff in there. [SPOILERS]
Pickford announcing the hydration break like he's heading to the bar and getting one in for everyone.

Particularly enjoying this ham-fisted edit to what I assume is an AI image, and they left both versions up.
Dust Fleet is on sale right now for 65% off. It's a Homeworld-alike, with neat space battles. Buy it so I can afford to make a sequel 😅
I also just get a kick out of these production photos. I think that's the Red October in the background of the first one, which means these must be from modifying Excelsior for Star Trek VI.
I struck gold finding that. Every other photo I've found is ambiguous. Look at this. It's partially transparent here, like there's a cowling over it. But apparently not, because I can't find that in any other photos. I guess they painted over the transparent material at some point.
If anyone else happens to be working on a 3d model of the USS Excelsior and has been trying to figure out what's going on with the top of the warp nacelles, specifically at the front, I have finally found a clear photo. The answer is: a knobbly bit.
I was just thinking it was time they updated the Lightwave3D icon *monkeys paw curls*
Also the source of my current spare-time project! I thought this would be relatively easy, but I've spent more time on getting the curve of the engineering hull right than I will on the rest of the ship.
The cat no longer needs to be awake to slow me down. She has reached peak cat. I'd move her but she's adorable so checkmate.
Very cool opening VFX shots as well. I think even the shot with the Excelsior model was new footage. That opening minute has strong season premiere energy not backed up by the rest of the story!
All those Transformers fans, but no votes for the best transforming robot game: Gunmetal. www.purexbox.com/news/2026/05...
