Fourth SAPPHOPALOOZA film is QUEENS OF DESIRE, a delightfully filthy and twisted musical. It centers around a song entitled “Fisting to the Heart” and more than a few times reminded me of HEALTH videos so… might not be for you, but I found it fun!
Couldn’t resist the allure of JOHNNY GUITAR’s queer-coded villain! I’ve seen it a few times before, but there’s nothing like seeing the colors in a brilliant 35mm print, especially with Crawford’s numerous wardrobe changes in the final act!
Closed out the Chicago Critics Film Fest tonight with A LITTLE PRAYER which was the kind of small, complex and complicated interpersonal family drama that I love from indie film.
FINALLY get to see DAISIES! I have been intending to watch this for years, but better late than never. Woo, Czech New Wave!
