A garden visitor. This is the second mantis I've found on our 2nd floor balcony, and I'm not upset about it. They're fascinating to watch, so patient and curious looking. She watched me water the plants.

I know it won't fix the sad, but deer are a little magic. Seeing nature be herself makes me feel a little better, the world beside our world, where beings just be. Hope your mood lifts eventually, friend. <3

Shhh... Opossum Junior is enjoying his Caturday the right way; in a sunbeam.

This jumping spider hitched a ride on my dress for awhile at the plant store. You can't tell here, but their chelicerae (mouth parts) were a metallic green and very pretty.

A close up of a small jumping spider. It is mostly black with white stripes on its legs and abdomen and a prominent central white spot. There is a faint hint of greenish blue on one of its chelicerae, hinting at the shine it had in person.

Took a walk around the Arboretum today. This crabapple tree was my favorite, it was covered in excited little bees; not pictured, they were camera shy.
