‘The List’. If I continue at one marathon per year, I will complete all of these in 2058. Be great to get through them all and maybe then do half marathons only. I’ll be 85 by then so I guess that’s fair.
It ‘might’ have been a warm one this morning! Running Vest not T Shirt and took a drink. Getting sensible finally.
Saw the guitarist play as Hopalong Gretzky and he was ace… this is a 🔥🔥🔥 lineup only 20 mins drive from home.
Couple of pics from yesterday. Finish line joy and relief and one heading through Bowness (about 23 miles in)
Great gig last night. Pushbike brillliantly chaotic as always, Bet You Know is a tune! Elwell also worth listening to and Hopalong Gretzky - exceeded expectations. My photos were crap so borrowed this from Pushbike’s Insta. Have pity on the person behind the giant at the right of the pic!
Week 19/20 done. A nice local (and flat!) plod today. Really easing off now ahead of next Sunday. Equally excited and petrified! 🏔️ I appear to nearly have drawn The Angel of the North on Strava!
‘Hundreds enjoyed’… must have been at least 250,000 attended then…. 🥱 boring music for people who don’t like music.
12 days to go, so am easing off enormously on training. Slow run today (probably a bit faster than Marathon pace though!), pulse around 140, but humidity was horrible!
Overwhelmed by the support for this latest challenge. 🙏 to everyone who has helped out. Two weeks tomorrow! www.justgiving.com/page/graeme-...
Warm out again. Solid pacing today considering the conditions and route. Pleased to confirm… TAPER TIME!!!
Much maligned but not many finer places on a day like this. Just look how quiet that beach is!
Beloved takes me back and of course Pixies (who I saw last week and was transported back to 1989!)
Warm out this morning but definitely better running weather than yesterday. Have moved to tapering now - need fresh legs 2 weeks on Sunday! Best part of today was keeping pulse below 150.
Long one… hilly one too (over 1000ft ascent). 10k x 3 - Approx 58, 60, 59 minutes. Felt ok for once!
