Physical Oceanographer in a python loop. Subtropical ocean dynamic, chaotic variability, global ocean observing systems. Lead developer of #argopy: #argofloat data for all.
🚀 The largest code base for anything related to #argofloat data: "euroargodev" has just hit 100 repositories ! 🤗 I'm very proud to have quick started this effort a few years ago. Code is the hidden machinery of the Argo research infrastructure, visit github.com/euroargodev for more 💎 @euro-argo.eu
🌊🤖On my way for a very nice #adoptafloat session with kids from Molène island ! #argofloat @imev-mer.fr @ifremer.bsky.social
Source: www.infoclimat.fr/climatologie...
Always a great pleasure to be around #argofloat @bgc-argo.bsky.social folks !
5/6 🌊 🤖 Read any BGC #argofloat configuration parameters with: from argopy import ArgoFloat af = ArgoFloat(1902605) af.config['CONFIG_SunaDepthZone1PowerAcquisitionMode_NUMBER']
3/6 🌊 🤖 Explore BGC #argofloats sampling for a specific parameter: from argopy import ArgoIndex idx = ArgoIndex(index_file='bgc-s') idx.query.params('DOXY')
2/6 🌊 🤖 Fetch one BGC #argofloat data with: from argopy import ArgoFloat af = ArgoFloat(1902605) ds = af.open_dataset('Sprof')
1/6 🌊 🤖 Fetch BGC #argofloat data for a specific ocean region like this: from argopy import DataFetcher f = DataFetcher(ds='bgc') f = f.region([4., 10., 40., 44., 0., 1000., '2024', '2025']) ds = f.to_xarray()
And it's now time to pay a visit to JAMSTEC colleagues! The #argofloats team is awesome 😎
I am so happy to visit my Japanese colleagues from Sendai University this week ! We’re building collaboration on multi-faceted research about Ocean Chaotic Variability, Water Mass Structure, and Open-Source Software in Oceanography. I will also give an #argopy presentation and training session.
and who's the "FloatRider" by the way ? seems well on track to stick in the top 3 with amazing scores I forget to mention that Kevin and I are not part of the contest although we love to play the game, so the top 3 can be reached from the 7th score actually 😂 🌊🤖 #argofloats #argopy
If you don't want to face the coding challenge and simply have fun... it's not too late to try to reach the scoreboard top 3 and get a chance to get a nice prize by playing the Argo crusade game at argopy.pythonanywhere.com 🌊🤖 #argopy #argofloats
you still have a few days to participate to the #argopy 5 years anniversary coding challenges: euroargodev.github.io/argopy-5year... #argofloats 🌊🤖
🌊 🤖 Developing the #argopy open-source software is nearly more about maintaining than adding new features 🤔 ...and among the highly required but very frustrating tasks, are unit tests, to be ran on all major OS ...and among these, one is regularly causing problems I never understand 😫 #argofloat
Hi folks, what about starting your week with a fun moment ? Give a try to the old school Argo crusade video game ! 🌊🤖 #argopy #argofloats
