The strap of my wristwatch fell apart a few months ago, I was going to get a replacement but the prices put me off it. Took me a couple of hours of work, a strip of scrap leather and a €4 buckle to do it myself. I like it! The stitching and the brass give it a vaguely medieval look, I think.

A consolation prize, for placing last at the local Trench Crusade tournament. It was my first time taking part in a tourney, and I made some suboptimal choices with my list, but it's still difficult to be satisfied with my performance. But the games were all in good spirit, and I had fun playing!

It's nice to do some woodworking for a change. Simple carving and shaving, but I haven't really done any in two decades so I feel like I (re)learned a lot.

Finally got my gambeson, feeling like a scoundrel now. Love the fit on it, snug but it doesn't limit my movement *at all*. Just need to get a longer undertunic to go with it, as is I've got nothing but my linen underwear protecting me down there 😅

I had tons of fun and it was so nice to connect with and learn from other reenactment groups :] really looking forward to more joint events like this in the future!

I gotta say they held up admirably and offered good grip, though the very sandy horse arena probably did hell on the exposed parts of stitching. Gonna have to brush and clean them thoroughly before I give them another treatment of oil.

Made another pair of turnshoes, just in time yesterday's training session.

Made a hat :] mostly for medieval stuff but I may find other uses for it as well! I think it turned out quite elegant.

Still need to do a bit of finishing work but these hose are pretty much done! They look baggy above the knees because I was wearing trousers under them, they're actually a pretty snug all across the leg.
