Book #19 (audiobook): ohhhhh this was so close to being my favourite fiction of the year so far. For the first two thirds of the book it was amazing, I was really enjoying it. Then it started to lose me. Then the last... 2/9ths really lost me :( there's a lot more I could say, but word count. #Irony

Interesting you post the second, much more recent definition. I.e the recent bastardisation of the term which is the very thing I'm complaining about. It's advertising designed to make people unhappy with their lot in life, make them get into debt to achieve the "ideal" of holidays abroad.

Book #18 (Physical): I don't normally count books I read with my boys, but as I hadn't read this before I feel it's legitimate. Completely brilliant! I've always been a big fan of the film (it brought my wife and I together!) but the book adds more layers of hilarity. I do a good Vizzini #Booksky

Book #11 (Audiobook): and like buses they all come at once! My annual reread/listen of LoTR takes me to the Two Towers. I'll admit I put it at 1.2x speed once I got to Frodo and Sam 🫣 only noticed it when Frodo was remembering something Gandalf said, Gandalf shouldn't talk that fast 😂
