Highlight of the world cup for me: filling in this homemade wall chart each morning with my boys 😁
Oooooh! Big fan of the new Brentford home kit! Love the yellow trim :D #COYB
Book #19 (audiobook): ohhhhh this was so close to being my favourite fiction of the year so far. For the first two thirds of the book it was amazing, I was really enjoying it. Then it started to lose me. Then the last... 2/9ths really lost me :( there's a lot more I could say, but word count. #Irony
Interesting you post the second, much more recent definition. I.e the recent bastardisation of the term which is the very thing I'm complaining about. It's advertising designed to make people unhappy with their lot in life, make them get into debt to achieve the "ideal" of holidays abroad.
Apparently my Mum shouted like Brian Blessed when the first goal was setup 😂😂😂😂 #GordonsAlive
The last time I was abroad - honeymoon 11 yrs ago, Crete - I couldn't believe it when I found one of these for sale at a Water Park. Today I found them in Asda. They're back. I can't explain how happy this makes me #GalaxyChocIces
Lol. I closely align with the pope appaz 😂 basically cause I answered with anti AI sentiments 😂 britmonkey.com/2020s-politi...
Very bad night of sleep for the boys (finally settled circa 7:30, up at 4:40) can mean only one thing, invasi- uhh I mean, film afternoon. #ThePhantomMenace #BestPrequelByFar #WhosaAreYousa
I genuinely thought this was satire like newsthump or something. Not a single thing listed is something better than if the war hadn't even happened. Unbelievable.
The view from my backdoor right now! #SoBright #SoVivid #WhatDoesItMean
Book #13 (Audiobook): finished my annual reread(/listen) of LotR in record time! These books will never grow old :') I'll admit I didn't do the appendices this time round.
Book #12 (Physical): What a belter of a book from @robeastaway.bsky.social ! If you, like me, have a head for useless facts and have any interest in maths and/or Shakespeare - this book is a must read. Maths, Shakespeare, Trivia. Perfect trio. *Chef's kiss*
Completely stumped by this "puzzle" I won on the AQA wheel today at #MathsConf40 ... what am I supposed to do!? 😂
We were told to upload photos from the day... best I can do is some photos with @drfrostmaths.bsky.social 😂 #MathsConf40
Book #11 (Audiobook): and like buses they all come at once! My annual reread/listen of LoTR takes me to the Two Towers. I'll admit I put it at 1.2x speed once I got to Frodo and Sam 🫣 only noticed it when Frodo was remembering something Gandalf said, Gandalf shouldn't talk that fast 😂
Book #10 (eBook): hmm, not for me this one, too flowery, not enough happened. My Goodreads is mostly 5* ratings, this only got 3. It was okay. Glad I've read it though. (Thanks to @mathsimpact.bsky.social and @emmaemma53.bsky.social for the rec)
Book #9 (audiobook): I'm not exactly the target audience here, a book mainly for senior leaders but I enjoyed it. Not sure what made me want to listen but it came up on my recommended. Glad I did :) @didau.bsky.social
Absolutely love the attention to detail on this. Vastly disappointed that the gull wing doors don't open though :P
