Irish on Duolingo like all of the second tier languages were powered by volunteers. Once it went public the course froze in its tracks. However, Scots Gaelic continues to grow due to a university partnership. I'm nearly done with the entire Irish course. Not sure where I'll go next with it.
This A.I. generated Bluesky description is really burying the lede in favor of its own survival because every quote of this post is stating that A.I. is butt so they avoid it like the plague. So... sentient?
A lot of people are using the word frankly lately, but now I feel like it means you're about to lie. Apparently honestly or truthfully used to have the same effect. I often wonder if words like sincerely, honestly or truthfully will be replaced by frankly. For me it will always mean "I'm lying".
Thanks man! I'm so excited to be making wood fired pizza and bagels on this thing. I also got the plancha on top for doing bacon and eggs for some NYC authenticity. I was messing with the safety gate earlier (kids are morons). Gonna build a bar around it and a steel prep table. Restaurant vibes.
I got a bit sidetracked with other projects but finally got to my pizza lounge oven today. Heatshield is in, just have to cut the hole for the chimney, install the exhaust fan then it should be pizza ready (also bagels).
We're finally building that tinyhouse I designed in Blender. The builder we hired is a retired ASML employee who built their clean rooms which means it's going to turn out just perfect.
This site is crazy because someone can comment and then block you? It's a weird one. Anyway, I run my rig as a headless server now. Compared to cloud AI, I get better, faster results locally. All I have to do is make sure my knowledge base is accurate. Private infrastructure is the future.
Remind me again why relying on cloud based A.I. is a good idea, because Google Gemini is making it clear that it isn't.
The year is 2026 and I got an ad on YouTube for "Lifelike Robot Puppies" with an ambiguous price sold for less than $30 but only 47 are left so I have to order now if I want it for 50% off. Literally a video of a real puppy marketed as an A.I. powered robot dog. We are in end times.
Spoiler Alert: Lovable's infrastructure (CEO pictured) is completely reliant on US companies. So, yeah, not quite there yet.
This is a sound bite not a policy position. You can say whatever on the campaign trail and literally do the opposite once elected. To me he remains a plant. aka Graham Plantner.
Whoever chose this font with the weakest possible lowercase-t needs to be yeeted into the sun.
I love doing these long haul journeys on an ebike from my cabin to my house. I have to always think about how to keep my powerdraw in balance with my cadence and my gear to get the most distance. I'm perfectly in tune with how much energy I'm using with this setup.
The Last day in Scotland with the family. Spent the day at Largo Beach in The Kingdom of Fife just across the water from Edinburgh, my Alma mater. Many memories made. Back on the boat to The Netherlands tomorrow.
We took the kids on a boat tour of Loch Lomond yesterday, spotted some campers on one of the islands and then I ate the mandatory Blue Raptor Burger at Jurassic Grill which is absolutely stuffed with bacon, so obviously I very much recommend it.
We went up to the summit of Inchcailloch yesterday which is a tiny island in Loch Lomond. I managed to meet an Aberdeen PhD student on the boat who is trying to solve hallucinations in A.I. - funny thing is, they interned for someone I helped build a startup for in Edinburgh. What a small world!
The US can't do a single payer healthcare system but a private company can spend billions on AI Health tech that will probably get it wrong 85% of the time.
Louis Kelso was a fucking G. This is how we should be doing the economy RIGHT NOW. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_O...
Ever since I started designing our Tiny House I get lots of links to Tiny Houses on my various news feeds and honestly, I ain't mad at that. Anywho, here's the steel chassis and the stack of wood that will become our vacation home. Designed by me and built by a fantastic carpenter. So exciting!
