A shoebox with the label SnugToes has two wonky small holes cut into its end, the larger one, on the left, is full of tinfoil reflecting light brightly. The side with the eyehole is slightly discoloured in patches.

This took three weeks because of disability. But I'm really proud to have almost finished!! Just the filler make the gaps less obvious to go!

Four white bookshelves, set into an alcove, which has a mirrored back. Three of the shelves have books and graphic novels, and a couple of small vases. The bottom shelf has a spirit level. Lower shelves go the entire width of the corridor wall, but we're previously installed by an actual professional.

To be clear, I did not get a lettuce. I left literally before I entered when I saw this sign

Sign in the entrance lobby to Sainsbury's Northumberland Park. Between two sets of automatic doors. It says " your safety is our priority" and "tour privacy is protected" in big font. In smaller font it tells you they're using facial recognition in partnership with unnamed entities to monitor the CCTV and other data gathered in store. It provides a QR code that's functionally an advert for CCTV AI.

Just finished the family pub quiz - and I'm opening this debate to the peanut gallery - which is the gayest Saturday morning cartoon for kids?

The dollhouse was finished and handed over to my parents who are delivering it to my brother's house for his kids. No more updates I'm afraid til I get them to take a pic of the outside which I forgot!

Where we at before bed...

The dollhouse living room. Upper walls painted Wedgewood blue, thloeer walls panelled and pale base coat applied. Dark blue carpet with light blue diamond pattern is laid, covered in dust, and not fully stuck down and trimmed. The ceiling and upper half if the staircase are still bare MDF.

Making a doll house for my baby niblings and I'm so proud of this stripped pine floor made of lolly sticks. I'm calling it the bougie baby playhouse. My first dollhouse came out of a skip.

In a bleak and miserable time period, little joys go a long way - I just stumbled across IKEA fabric from 2007 I've been seeking, despite incorrect listing. I can recover the stained dining chair to match the rest, and make a blind!! Nerd alert.

After too much of my own company recently, may 2026 bring some romantic partner prospects - must be good at cancelling subscriptions, eating left-overs, choosing what to watch. In return, I'm good at shortbread, houseplants, and catching spiders humanely.

On my way home from visiting my friends' new venture The Little Goat Barn writers retreat in Wales. It's glorious! I wrote 6 pages in 3 days, ate like a king, did a healthy hill walk and got specialised book recs from @ruppin.bsky.social
