My favorite part about Warrior Cats hitting the twenty year nostalgia buffer (/show anticipation) and getting this recent merch push is that I now have a three year old who loves All Things Cat and a baby who loves All Things Fuzzy. Tigerstar is doomed to be a kittypet.

I know this is about as toddler parent posting as it gets but - Who is the best character in Work It Out Wombats and why is it Mr. E.? (Surprisingly the arty lesbians aren’t my first pick!)

I was having a rough time finishing pieces during this pregnancy, so now I’m trying to get back in the game. Quick warm-up doodle of Yellowfang, from the Warriors series! 🎨

A speed paint doodle portrait of a scruffy, flat-faced domestic longhair cat with dark fur and an unimpressed expression. And as I write this I noticed I forgot her scars,whoops. She is NOT scarred. I will fix that. Pretend they’re hiding in her fur.

Sorry Jared, I just REALLY like picking at this because Rian was FAR too earnest for what that trilogy ended up being! But it was all character questions that led to more questions - "Why did Luke turn off his phone and hide from everyone? Doesn't sound like the guy from the last movies." -> something VERY bad happened that must have shaken that particular core and ended in THAT.
"We have a golden trio, one of which we killed until we realized we liked Oscar Isaac, where did TFA leave them and how do we get them to move forward?
Finn = a good man, a naive kidnapped child,
needs to see the world as it actually is, needs to grow beyond himself into a leader
Poe = any arc at all as he was MIA/dead in
that first movie, but he can carry the leader/ failure bit and be the Theme Guy
Rey = Series Wizard, don't need bloodlines
to be important (I'm sure there's something to be said about corporate, quasi-fashy fanboy comfort at this, to be written by someone more articulate than I)

This! Is actually traceable! So it seemed like the rights reverted back to them and last I checked they were going to self publish on demand and had Romas Kukalis doing full blown paintings. This was also years ago though so I’m not sure where it’s all at at this point or if it’s still happening!
