Finally back in Edinburgh for Fringe. Saw shitfaced Shakespeare. Quite fun. The premise is that one of the classically trained actors in the play is indeed shitfaced and the others must adapt the play to their whims whilst trying to stay serious. We somehow ended up with a puppet father in Hamlet.
Coseners was great, I missed cheese and british irony. Selling quantum to a room full of classical internet & communications architects went down quite well
Such a pleasure to have participated at NUS’s HACKAMONTH this June! Beyond grateful to my co-hackers and the staff at Singapore’s Center of Quantum Tech, for an incredible month & wonderful collaborations! One of the papers written during this time is already out, but keep an eye out for more :)

Having a great time in sunny Singapore during the first week of CQT’s HACKMONTH
I’ll be at the Center of Quantum Tech in the National University if Singapore t’ill late June. Reach out if you’re around!
Little pic enjoying the distillery tasting at the Isle of Skye
Lovely ride to the Isle of Skye today for the QI spring school
I made it to the Nova 111 student list this year! The list recognises the top 111 students contributing to maths, physics and data analysis in the country
Using my train ride to have a laugh about the dichotomy of recent comments on my posts … praise and hate! I must be doing something right
I think the paper overlords are starting to take the piss with my PhD
Edinburgh quantum science festival was a fun volunteering experience! Kids just wanted to know how fast thing were (priorities!)
Crazy LinkedIn occurrence of the day... I hope no one in the field feels compelled to pay for recognition of their “influence”. Especially not in a gendered setting
Copilot will use your code for model training starting next month unless you opt out 👇 If you’re a student on the free plan, consider whether you want to disable this before April 24th
Some nice art I saw at the Palacio de Comunicaciones (Cibeles,Madrid) last month
Please avoid contributing to my projects with fully AI generated PRs that you don't even read through
Perhaps early to say, but this might be my best read of the year. A thrilling walk through how textiles shaped and continue to shape the world. From Ancient Greek arithmetic to the first computer, textiles have truly woven our society 😉
The joy of seeing a KaHypar python package update after 3 years!!!!
2025 was a good coding year! My first open source library came out. Can’t wait to beat my own record this year!
Finished my internship with Quantinuum yesterday. It was awesome & I am so thankful for the opportunity to contribute to such an incredible team! Omw back home for the holidays but will be back to distributed quantum computing research in 2026. Until then, happy holidays! 🎄
Point to self: don't ask Claude to psychoanalyze you based on previous conversations
