Independence Day update: Fireworks: survived. Five-pound puppy reacting to fireworks: less survivable. She has no regrets. I finally have the tough-guy look. Shame it’s courtesy of a dog who weighs less than a bag of flour.
This year I decided the neighborhood 4th of July BBQ deserved fewer paper plates balancing on laps and more grab-and-go happiness. So… peach, avocado & arugula salad with a little sea salt and Japanese BBQ sauce. Individually portioned because summer is messy enough. 🇺🇸🥑🍑
Pretty sure the sky just filed a formal complaint about the humidity.
