Why is the NC news media reporting in advance on a Mark Robinson interview organized by a conman with a gazillion judgements against him for fraud and the 2 media entities behind the interview have less than 450 followers? Morbid curiosity isnt news. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna watch for sure.
Todays front page of the Star Tribune will likely be used in history lessons for our grandchildren. It's also one of the clearest, sharpest reasons newspapers should be locally owned, like the Tribune is, and with real, human journalists who live where they report.

I'm out in southern New Mexico this week, talking to and learning from local people who are organizing in their hometown, righting wrongs, and imagining better futures. Our movements will succeed if they are local, broad, demanding, creative, and refuse to leave anyone- ANYONE- behind.
