Read books. Touch grass. Enjoy sunshine. Husband. Father. Educator. Jesuit. Baseball fan.
I’m learning a lot about myself while reading this memoir. At some point, I may share these revelations…
Absolutely incredible photographs collected herein. And what an enjoyable read this was.
Lifting, trail run, & yard work done. Time for a few beers. Have a good day, y’all. #america250
This offering from @crobertcargill.bsky.social is absolutely fantastic. This just might be my favorite story I’ve read in the book so far.
Spectacular story, @gabino.bsky.social! There’s just one haunting question: what did she walk towards? This is going to live in my head rent free for a bit…
@skrutskie.com excellent story! I never really gave any thought to the men and women who worked the ion cannon.
@markdoesstuff.bsky.social this was a fun read…especially since Father’s Day is tomorrow. I think I’d probably act the same way in order to find my wife & children.
A huge congratulations to @univnebpress.bsky.social for the upcoming publications of so many incredible titles! There are easily 30 titles included in this catalog that I want to read. Outstanding, @univnebpress.bsky.social!
Finished this today. Not sure how I missed it three decades and change ago…but I found it for a $1.00 at a book sale. It was an enjoyable read that really makes me want to read Jeff Pearlman’s bio of Bo. Bo might be the biggest “what if” in sports had he stayed healthy.
I’ve read a good share of @rboomhower.bsky.social’s biographies over the years. This one might be my favorite (and I’m not even close to being done with it.) The story of Jim Jontz is both fascinating & inspiring. I absolutely love it when a #biography takes hold of me.
I have selected the first batch of what I call my “front porch” reads. I usually try to spend an hour or so every day in the spring, summer, & fall (weather permitting) with a book & a beverage or two. Baseball, mining history, memoir, biography, & translated poetry. Good stuff.
