I am obsessed with this extremely bitchy paragraph from Miranda Hart's Wikipedia page.
I find it weird how often body modification and piercings are used as short hand for villainary when in real life people like this are so often the kindest, most community-mind individuals. (I know he didn't look like this in the comic, which makes it even weirder).
The villainous Shawn Levy is adapting Persona in live action for Netflix?? 'Persona' Live-Action TV Series in the Works at Netflix share.google/YsgW5dTXbGXU...
My June Newsletter is out now, with a full rundown of my summer events! buttondown.com/hamishsteele...
@shazleenmkhan.bsky.social's impeccable comfort food webcomic BUUZA!! has finally been given the printed edition it deserves! Welcome to Salwa, a high-drama, low-fantasy world where adult-phone-line-operator Zach is about to receive a call that'll change his life!
Tillie Walden's Charity & Sylvia tells the true story of two women making a life for themselves in 19th Century Vermont. Do you have any favorite queer figures of history which you feel should be better known?
I am convinced STOP! THAT! TRAIN! partially exists to make people forget the time RuPaul tried to make a pro-trans post but accidentally googled "trains flag" instead of "trans flag"
I can't believe she ended up just being right
Also not to be totally selfish but as a writer of kids books, it is already impossible to promote my work to my target audiences with the way the internet has gone. Advertising to Parents isn't always the way.
Watching the Tony's and it kinnnnda looked like Cole Escola refused to hug or shack the hand of John Lithgow when he won.
Couples where one of them is masking and one of them isn't out here like
It's TCAF time! Find me at Table 92 on the 2nd Floor where I am stocking DeadEndia, Go-Man, prints, pins, plushies and more! Also great deals! But if you would be so kind, consider bringing cash! It all helps!
All set up for TCAF tomorrow! Table 92 on the 2nd Floor! I'm on the wall on the left as you enter. Also please consider bringing cash as it is the easiest for me to deal with! I will have other options though.
Happy Pride! And to celebrate I will be highlighting some of my fave queer graphic novels starting with the hilarious Dogs on Dates by Luke Healy Every page of this book his hysterical and heartfelt! Brad and Bernie deserve to go down as queer icons and rom com legends.
It was fun to sneak a queer pride episode into Dead End in episode 2. The hope was that people might clock the metaphor and assume we wouldn't be able to also go there with the overt rep, only for Barney to say "I'm trans" a few minutes later. I miss making gay ass cartoons!!
TCAF is next week!! Will I see you there? Also: if you have your heart set on something, consider bringing cash or having the ability to PayPal me as my card machine may not work (it did at my las US con but who knows)
Criticism is valid. I love reviews and debate and have quite happily been a hater at times. But I am so sick of COMPLAINING. Complaining is different. Complaining is relentless negativity about everything, making things up to be mad about, obsessing over media that isn't out yet, just to WHINE.
I agree but I also think GS Ethan design totally mogs HGSS Ethan. What did they do to my lad?? All the aura, gone. HGSS are great games but the redesigns were very mixed.
Go-Man is a cool series about autism, robots, empathy, magical girls, kaiju, friendship and spider witches from space. I think you'd like it and you should buy it!
Are you at London MCM Comic Con this weekend? I'm at table B1 in the Artist Alley in the South Hall. Here is how to find me!
Yesterday Go-Man: Champion of Earth won Best Middlegrade Graphics at the Leeds Book Awards! Thank you to the school kids of Leeds! It was so much fun meeting you all and discussing the twists and details of the book. You could tell how much they'd really engaged with all the books.
