A year ago, following the Supreme Court's ruling, we said that every human being is a precious child of God, deserving of dignity and respect. We say so again today - without qualification.

The Code tells organisations what the law permits. It does not tell us who we are as the Body of Christ. We are not called to the legal minimum of hospitality. We are called to the radical welcome of the one who sought out the excluded and the overlooked. The Church in Wales will not use equality law exemptions to exclude trans people from our worship, our sacraments, our pastoral care, or our common life.

We ask all our churches to be places of genuine sanctuary for trans people and their families, especially now. And we call on public bodies to pursue a way forward that upholds the dignity of all, rather than treating the protection of some rights as justification for eroding others.

To trans people in Wales, in our congregations and who serve God faithfully in the Church: you are known. You are loved. You are welcome here, as you are, always.

I keep reading that these protesters—like us, like the left wing of the Weather Underground—have been seduced by anti-American propaganda, by the nefarious infiltration of subversive “ideology” into feeds and articles and schools. If you believe that, you must imagine 9/11 with a twist: hours after the towers fell, as FDNY and NYPD officers swarmed the scene looking for survivors, a second wave of al-Qaeda hijackers brought another plane held in reserve, crashing it into the smoldering ground to kill the rescue workers they had lured there with the first attack. This is ordinary business in Gaza and Lebanon. What dastardly “ideology” is required to find this fact appalling? My boyfriend is a huge NBA fan and I want to surprise him with an NBA jersey of his favorite player. I could just ask him but I want that to be the last option.
He did tell me who his favorite player was a long time ago in conversation but I have since forgotten. Here are some clues that could be helpful:
1. My bf is 21.
2. My bf is a fan of the Lakers.
3. We live in Dallas but my bf was born in Florida but was raised in Georgia. he sometimes attends Mav games.
4. I'm absolutely certain this player is still in the NBA.
5. This one is pretty dumb but I vaguely remember that the player's name sounded like "Hector Banana-bread". However, if I put that name into Google, I just get banana bread recipes so the name is probably way off.

At a time when billionaire oligarchs and corporations are spending billions of dollars to buy elections
and erode democracy, we must put an end to the corrupting influence of money in politics and ensure
that American elections are decided by the people, not just the top 1%.
Congress never intended to create Super PACs and should close the judicially created loophole that
allows them to exist. The Supreme Court's 2010 decision in Citizens United v. FEC allowed
corporations and other outside groups to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections through
political action committees (PACs) as long as the spending was not directly coordinated with
candidates. A federal appeals court followed that decision by allowing unlimited contributions to PACs.
These decisions created the super PACs that dominate American politics today, giving billionaire
oligarchs and corporations permission to spend billions of dollars to buy elections and influence the
direction of public policy.
Billionaires and corporations have spent staggering sums of money in the wake of those decisions to
elect their candidates of choice. Since Citizens United, election spending by billionaires has
skyrocketed by more than 16,000%, reaching a total of $2.6 billion during the 2024 election cycle. Elon
Musk alone spent more than $280 million to support Donald Trump and the Republican Party in 2024,
proudly proclaiming, "Without me, Trump would have lost the election." And, in the 2026 election
cycle, AI, crypto, and AIPAC-aligned Super PACs are planning to spend more than $500 million.

Unlimited contributions by billionaire oligarchs to super PACs corrupt our politics, make politicians
more beholden to the billionaire class, and undermine Americans' confidence in the political system.
Congress must act to ensure that billionaires do not continue to determine the outcome of our elections.
The Abolish Super PACs Act would significantly limit the corrupting influence of money in politics
by capping the contribution limit of individuals to super PACs at $5,000, effectively abolishing them
and putting power back into the hands of the people.
The Abolish Super PACs Act is endorsed by Common Defense, Court Accountability, Dream
Defenders, End Citizens United, Equal Citizens, Free Speech For People, Gen-Z for Change,
Grassroots Global Justice Action Fund, IfNotNow Movement, Jewish Voice for Peace Action, Justice is

And they’re destroying it. Not because it’s expensive — the entire research budget is a rounding error. Not because it’s inefficient — decentralized, place-based research is the only kind of forest science that works. They’re destroying it because science is an obstacle.

Because a scientist who says “you can’t log that watershed without destroying it” is inconvenient. A researcher who publishes data showing that a timber sale will wipe out a salmon run is a problem. A lab that documents the damage from mining runoff or road-building or clear-cutting is an enemy.

And the next time someone asks “what will this do to the forest?” the answer will be silence, because the people who knew are gone and the studies that would have told us were terminated by press release on a Tuesday in March.

Anyone who still thinks these are unrelated events, disconnected policy decisions made by different people at different times for different reasons, is in willful denial. This is a coordinated demolition of federal land stewardship in America. Every piece connects. Every move advances the same goal: transferring control of your public lands from professional public servants accountable to you to political operatives accountable to the extraction industry.

The Forest Service was the last major federal land agency that still had the institutional muscle to resist. It had the scientists. It had the regional foresters. It had the culture, imperfect as it was, that still believed forests belonged to the public.

After today, that agency no longer exists.

UEB Grade 2 Braille is an expansion that fills in the blanks of the 64 possible 6-dot configurations and creates a shorthand system to decrease the amount of physical page-space braille uses up. It expands on the idea in grade 1 of creating syntax symbols and using that to make combos.
