Good luck with the finish. Whatever you decide, it'll be a showstopper I'm sure! I built this guy a couple years ago and the padouk was so amazing I didn't have the intestinal fortitude to try spray finishing for the first time on it. I went with Odie's Oil on it instead and am very glad I did.

Current battery efficiency is still keeping cars larger. The numbers are getting better but alas. This Rivian model shares the platform of the R2 SUV, which is trending smaller than the R1S SUV but still bigger than I'd like. Personally, I NEED this. That trend needs a big leap forward.

Just received my pallets of solar panels, various control equipment, batteries, and most importantly the meter collar for my 'geez this is taking forever!' solar installation. Finally, we get to give PG$E the salute they deserve.

I have completed my task for the day! I installed a new doorbell chime and transformer (oddly mounted in the highest corner in the garage?). The original builder spec pair was making unsettling grindy noises. All set for trick or treaters to test it while I hide upstairs with the lights off.

I made these. Made in the sense that I spec'd out all the parts, put them together, wired, and set them up. Trying to find a job in a shop that'll find my skills useful. I still play like garbage, but I love them all none the less.
