Very, very dry conditions on and around Beacon Hill today in Hampshire. I haven't seen our countryside quite like this before.
Folly Wood, near Urchfont in Wiltshire. (From our Wessex Airscapes exhibition with Anna Dillon) @annadillon.bsky.social
Ardington Millenium Stones. The central circle represents the sun and the planets are dotted around. The first stone is a noon mark consisting of a curved mirror and a standing stone about 200m to the south. At exactly noon when the sun is due south - a flash is visible at the southern stone.
Perborough Castle hillfort from the Northwest, with Hampstead Norreys in the valley below. #Berkshire
Warm photoshoot and walk with @annadillon.bsky.social up to The Ridgeway National Trail via Lowbury Hill as we start getting the initial media for our next exhibition.
Seven Barrows; a dense prehistoric cemetary near Lambourn (with at least 26 barrows in the area!). Thought to be Bronze Age and with a variety of barrow styles, including bell, bowl, disc, and saucer barrows.
The unfinished hillfort on Ladle Hill, North Hampshire (and adjacent barrow). Within the ditch are the spoil heaps from the stalled construction.
The canal at Woodborough; a Wiltshire scene. (Anti tank cylinders on the bridge)

Good morning! Had a lovely hike and camp with my godson; video being edited, then a week away and so apologies for a brief lull in aerial shots of historic sites. Normal service will resume in earnest!
Lowbury Hill today; Aston Upthorpe Downs on the Oxfordshire/Berkshire border.
The Ardington and Lockinge Millenium Sundial; including a depiction of the Solar System. At exactly noon by the sun - when the sun is due south - a flash of light is visible at the southern stone (using mirrors).
Lovely depiction of The Ridgeway by Anna Dillon - you can see it in The Vale and Downland Museum in Wantage. @annadillon.bsky.social
The awesome Kelly Cook from this morning's "aerial motorbike chase" videoshoot with the drone. We used headsets to talk (and banter) throughout; one of the coolest, most fun things I have done!
