#NidarosCathedral, Trondheim, Norway. The world’s northernmost Gothic medieval cathedral. Dates from 1070. Completed 1300. Various events (fire, maintenance issues) in 1800’s led to restoration & rebuilding from 1868. Stunning interior features.
Molde Cathedral. Simplistic plain white brick internal walls. Shaped like long basilica. Some striking internal design & features including beautiful stained glass.

Altar of the Patriarchs. Dates from 1460. Made for Liel Abbey church. Moved to the Church of St Nikolai, Kiel, Germany in 1541 when the abbey was dissolved in the Reformation.
Church of St Nikolai, Kiel, Germany. Origins from C13th, remodelled in Gothic Revival style in C19th, completely rebuilt after WW2 due to being badly damaged. Baroque pulpit dates 1705 & donated to replace an earlier 1522 pulpit.

The beautiful & peaceful church of St Mary’s, Lead, North Yorkshire. C14th with monuments to crusading knights. Close by is Towton. Site of one of England’s bloodiest battles during the War of the Roses. The tranquility of this little place is wonderful.

Church of St Gregory, Bedale. Wall paintings uncovered in 1920’s. Show The Creed, The Lord’s Prayer & St George. Thought to be over 500yrs old. Note St George fighting dragon with left hand. Considered rare. All possibly covered with whitewash in Reformation. #WednesdayWallPaintings
