not finishing it but it's out of my system
refusing to play mistria again until Stillwell is romanceable because he was created in a lab for ME
I am slowly learning how to be an independent adult (asked my parents for help figuring out how to buy a house) (i have bought a house before but apparently used the men in black Device to erase all memory of how i did it)
22. Although I've read this before, now I will be unable to read this book without thinking of the week in July 2026 when I started a new job but had no computer access for Reasons, so I spent 40 hours sitting in a cubicle getting paid to read Robin Hobb
21. i've read this a ton of times but i haven't read it in about 20 years. I got a lot more out of it this time around now that i'm closer to rochester's age than jane's. i hate to say it but the last third of the book is a real drag. beginning and middle are delicious though! and happy ending.
20. Beautiful book. Family saga. Not necessarily fast paced or "exciting" but a real page turner. I teared up in parts, possibly not a good idea to read this as I am already maudlin since moving (lol) but I enjoyed it
moving to chicago tomorrow, everything is packed except the computer and my toothbrush lol waaaaah
A month later, a new sweater to sleep on
19. i've enjoyed the alphabet series so far but this one didn't really grab me. i started it and DNF it last summer, picked it up again and almost DNF it this year. it's not BAD it's just dull. the other books were IMO much better and i'll still continue with the series
18. last book in the series. ties together the previous books nicely. i like the world, it's a pity there aren't more in this setting. didn't feel as rushed as the previous books, but also didn't feel as jam-packed with story beats.
Next week I'm moving back to the place I belong (linguistically)
17. Three young women, their collapsed marriages, and the revenge they get on their exhusbands. same author as First Wives Club but I don't think this one was quite as good. I liked the beginning but the revenge wasn't as much as i would have liked. quick read, low stress
QRP with how you draw women! rarely, but unhinged
more sketchbook shenanigans featuring Exchange/Transit Love and various seasons of 90 day fiance
16. third book in the edge series. deals with the aftermath of the previous book and gives us better insight into side characters from the first book. magical heists, spies, taking down a megachurch from within, great worldbuilding. again, no downtime. every book better than the last
i've been watching some korean dating shows and apparently changing art style dramatically for every cast memeber i draw
I haven't been super active on here recently because Mr Welker Screaming into a Metal Bucket came home from a weekend away with these jerks
15. next book in the edge series, super good. magical family feud. mad scientists, augmented humans, necromancy, unique takes on magic. absolutely no downtime, the story just kept moving. again with the rushed ending though?? still better than the first book
mr. darling is out of town this weekend and wanted to video chat, front facing camera is my nemesis (he spent 96% of time using the phone like a normal phone anyway so all i saw was his ear)
playing FE fates AGAIN. made my non-FE fan friend arrange all the S-rank couples ahead of time based on "vibes" so i wouldn't go nuts minmaxing for the perfect child units. here is my meet-cute with my future husband (I've been ordered to kill him) (he said "this guy seems like your type irl")
14. a break from more serious fare for some urban fantasy. ilona andrews is one of the best in the business. plot isn't groundbreaking but very well written, interesting characters/magic systems, ending seemed a bit rushed, but first in a series so maybe it will continue
one of moots used the exact same reference image as me and finished their pic first so if i finish/post mine it will just look like a rip off of theirs (theirs is beautiful)
excuse me who tf are you (not my screengrab)
